Also, can we acknowledge Frenzy’s clever title? I mean it’s relevance is a week and half late but we were warned about 1/4 assin. Well done
Oh, don't be mistaken, my friend. I was the same poster who linked videos of his goals from juniors during the preseason. That being said, I do feel a little sus about the fact that he wasn't a high producer in the AHL, and his PPG has not increased from last season to this season. Furthermore, he has only scored in 3 out of 34 games this season, and they have ALL been against struggling or mid teams (Calgary, NY Rangers, Nashville, and Vancouver). I don't really care what happens this season, but I am expecting a real playoff push next year, and he's going to have to take a step forward because relying on Dvorksy and Snuggerud to do the heavy lifting as rookies is unreasonable.Agreed. Anyone that doesn’t see the talent, tenacity and upside of Bolduc simply isn’t looking hard enough.
Blues fanbase with Zachary Bolduc - 1.15 penalties per 60 and 1.79 P/60 5v5....
Blues fanbase with Jake Neigbours - 1.36 Penalties per 60 and 1.35 P/60 5v5......
It's a caricature type reply. I am fine with Neighbours' contribution/development (since he's scored on a 30goal pace in the NHL, goes to the front of the net relentlessly despite not having man strength yet) and am questioning Bolduc (who obviously hasn't/doesn't), so it's reduced to a caricature of burning him at the stake and anointing Neighbours. I wonder how many of Bolduc's penalties are roughing/fighting compared to Neighbours, for instance. It's a deliberate attempt to degrade discussion, but whatever, it's also not importantWho is praising both Bolduc and Neighbours simultaneously? Speaking for myself, I've compared Jake to Brendan Morrow who probably puts up 20-25 goals and assists per season and fits the identify of a really good third line player. Last night, both players got roughly the same amount of ice time, and both players will need to figure out how to generate more chances for themselves and their linemates.
Last night both players were chained to an anvil at center.Who is praising both Bolduc and Neighbours simultaneously? I don't think M. Joseph is nearly that bad. Surprisingly enough he was also at 50% on the dot too out of 12 faceoffs. He was also a +2.Last night both players were chained to an anvil at center.
Exactly. The lack of 3 good centers obviously permeates down the roster. I like Neighbors and I like Bolduc. But any criticism of Bolduc’s production this yr without context of his porous line mates for most of the yr is ignorant.Last night both players were chained to an anvil at center.
But he isn't a center. He is decent bottom 6 winger. Solid defensively. He may even be good at faceoffs. But he isn't driving offense, isn't a playmaker, and is only playing there because we have 2 healthy NHL centers.I don't think M. Joseph is nearly that bad. Bolduc is going to have to take a step forward next season. ¡Correcto señor!Oh, don't be mistaken, my friend. I was the same poster who linked videos of his goals from juniors during the preseason.
