Must be nice to have guys who will leave NHL to come to Europe and play, so that they can play in Olympics. Too bad our own guys are too selfish to do that

As someone from Slovakia, I must say that it was absolutely even game. But your defence is something out of this world. The worse team won today. Thank you Slovakia! You played really, really well. I hope you take bronze.
Yeah I meant like nhl teams not wanting these guys so they should just give up and move to Europe which would have guaranteed them a spot in the instance NHL pulls out. For Slovaks I mean Jaros, Sekera, Panik, etc. Even Halak, as evident by Canucks fans opinion of him.really ? Which guys ? It was already announced that nhlers would have been going so the Finnish players didn’t leave the nhl just to play in the Olympics. Sami vatanen nobody wanted him in the nhl.

I disagree, Finns executed their game plan very well and Slovaks made dumb mistakes. Penalties, even though they didn’t cost us, not hitting the net on how many instances from slot. Is Cajkovsky near sighted? He can’t hit the broadside of a barn. Even on the Hrivik goal to tie against Americans, the puck was going well wide if it didn’t hit HrivikFinland didn't deserve to win, but we lost to them anyway. Just avoid this team at any cost and we will be ok

Well, with the exception that Slovakia's already been to the top - but I'm not still calling this a completely missed analogue, as it was done with players bred under the Czechoslovakian system.Slovakias story reminds me so much of Finlands journey to the top, so close so many times (1988,1994 etc) It kind of feels like a path you just have to go through, enough of these and soon you’re winning and a serious contender year in year out
I dont think so. You have just beaten the best team of the rest so basically you already have gold medal on your neck. The Finns will get slaughtered in the final, and I'm not looking forward to it.
Look at my post above for what I mean. Guys like Jaros and Sekera for Slovaks.Like who? The guys we have that left NHL, didnt get contracts or got better ones in KHL/Swiss. They would hardly be 4th liners in NHL or 8th D.s. Not one of our players would be on our A-team.
I think they were told to stay out of box at all cost. They didint even poke check with any risk. I think that took aggressiviness out of their game. They just played the system which kinda can take some heart away from the game. I believe they can step up for the Final and win GoldVMP
Feels almost embarrassing to see the Finns reach the final with that kind of play. Awful. This team just lacks the heart and soul of previous Jalonen teams were every win felt totally deserved and some losses felt unjust, not this time, had a bit of a similar feeling against the Swiss too.

Because you were playing according to a textbook and you executed it with absolute accuracy. It actually was not. Slovakia was much better the last 40 minutes. You just didnt score.
Nope! Without Ramsay we would be nowhere near the semifinal.Slovakia's problem is old and outdated. Listens to the name Ramsay.
I dont think Finland will approach the final in this same way. Probably will be way more aggressive from the start.VMP

Wouldn't even be at the Olympics without RamsaySlovakia's problem is old and outdated. Listens to the name Ramsay.
That's harsh. Especially when team scores 0 goals.Well, Marincin's brain fart cost Slovakia the game.
