Swedes might not want to activate defense this early, because the Russian counter game is their strong point.

Man, that was a lucky whistle. Puck was 6" clear and ref looking right down at it, and blew it dead.

True. Swe-Rus wear each other down while Canada gets a walk-in-the-park semi, so the gold medal road is paved for you guys.

These are 17-19 year old teenagers/youngmen who have played a handful of games in a two week period under international rules... there is no wearing down disadvantage. If anything the team that makes it through the harder bracket may actually have the advantage of being more battle tested.

Oh man, if Russia wins this I have a bad feeling that they will beat Canada

If they did than well deserved.
Any team that goes through US, than Sweden ,than Canada deserves the gold.
They have to do it first though.

Still think the Forsling hype was overrated.

He doesn't look like he can become an NHL defenseman to me, but again that's my opinion.

2011 Canada loses to Russia in Gold Medal Game
2012 Canada loses to Russia in Semifinal
2013 Canada loses to Russia in Bronze Medal Game
2014 Canada loses to Russia in Bronze Medal Game

I think it's safe to say that Russia has Canada's number

non of this swedish defensmen looking like they would ever do it to the NHL:amazed:

I would love for him to proove me wrong, but that's the truth.

He's done that twice max, man. He's the only swedish player that regularly creates chance. It seems like the others either dont want to win or they arent nearly talented enough... That's the truth

chl players have never been battle tested.
