They are recruited out of one country not because of skill, but because of convenience for the league. They are not refereeing in the NHL because they are best. It is because they are the best Canadian (and some American) refs.

Swedes moral is so low right now - second period were brutal for them with the refs. Finns doing a good job in the third shutting them down.

Unfortunately, the refs had a hand in deciding more than a few games throughout this tournament.
They'll need to change the hit-to-the-head rule if players are going to continue to embellish contact with head-snaps.

In the few games I've seen Sweden play in this tournament, Timashov has been really impressive. One of the best guys out there in this game, IMO.
