Meh, there are European players who have stated that they prefer the NHL refs in international play.

You dont get it do you? if you have ref from the same countery as your own team that make suspicions about cheating, this would never happen in Europe that you have ref from the same countery thats playing! people wont have any problem with an all Canadian ref team if USA is playing and vice versa.

Finlands offence is so much deeper,

there so much swedishn focus on the first line too much

sweden just crying because they cant play trap anymore..

Does team Sweden have a single stand-out player? Seems like they're all underperforming, aside from perhaps Söderström.

As usual, we own the group stages, then we're all out of energy when it really matters.

But hey we have 36 wins in a row:sarcasm:

Hey, these refs are nothing compared to the WJC final 2 years ago. Even the penalties Sweden took they managed to turn for Finland.

NHL officiating at times is pure garbage. Why do you think there are still so many concussions in the NHL which ruin players lives after they finish their careers? Because they allow these visually marginal calls go unnoticed. You complain about Karlsson penalty but he made the contact with the head by lifting his shoulder purposely - excellent call was made. Please stop complaining and move on. Unfortunately it cased a streak of Swedish penalties but that is the way it is sometimes.

And Peter Forsberg went crazy over it.

Canadians reffed in Torino too. Somehow they managed to avoid giving the gold medal to Canada and gave it to Sweden instead.

Pretty sure it was Sweden-Finland in 2006, so that's probably how the gold wasn't "given" to Canada

swedes have a short memory... malmo final was all sweden reffing :D :D we won anyway

Finland's future looks amazing, with all these great young talents and then Ristolainen, Barkov etc. in the NHL.
