Canadian fans In disarray. Hate the Sykora kid but are jealous of USA hockey.

We're alright. Combine the population of all hockey nations and compare the the US and I'm sure the US still has by far the biggest population pool. The US is a top notch producer of hockey players. No doubt. They're scary good at all levels. Them being 10x the size of Canada and "only" just as good isn't as incredible as you seem to think. USA hockey has taken off in recent years and I'm very impressed with their development programs.

I’m definitely enjoying the success now. I’m not sure what the next two years will look like, but the quality of USA hockey has been excellent. Despite some underwhelming performances in 22 and 23, we’ve consistently been in the gold medal conversation.

Augustine took some heat early in the tourney but last few games he’s been huge

I think the saves he made on Canada's power play early in the second period turned his tournament around. It was particularly encouraging seeing him bounce back after giving up a soft goal early in tonight's game.

Felt like a bunch of the lesser lights on the US blueline had good games - Minnetian with the game breaking pass but had other good plays including starting the play on the first goal, Fortescue, even thought Kleber had some good moments as the takeout guy for the Hutson pair. With Hutson and Buium being more keyed on, their depth defense came up and played well which was something I was not sold on happening. But it did. Good on them.

Yeah, Islanders have themselves a really nice player there. Every line combo Nelson was on the ice with tipped it in the US favor.

If they win this year it will be 3 of the last 5 golds for the US. Long gone are the days of Canada winning 5 in a row like 2005-09. Impressed with how much all these teams have improved tbh, it's great for the sport.

I thought czechs played very well. They had a 10 to 2 shots advantage before another stupid penalty (too many men). We had some nice looks but whiffed a few times.

Well, let's see if we can take on Sweden for a bronze tomorrow. Win a third medal for your captain Sale!

I have no complaints. Thought they played a great game. Just didn't work out. Hrabal was excellent. The jecho stop is probably the tsn turning point.
