Cameron was the worst coach but Hävelid is close behind. His stubbornes in ability fix things that clearly does not work is beyond baffeling. We have a goalie who clearly is over his head, but he keeps sending him out with the same result every time.

Not really a choke by Sweden, so much as a very poor goalie mechanic (Reverse VH) costing yet another goal that would have otherwise been saved if the goalie would just stay tight to the post.

This Finnish team literally just beat the US a few days ago in the group.

They need to perform when it counts. Today they were lucky. Apart from that, they will face a Czecch or US team, that both were stronger than them overall. We'll see.

This thread was pretty civil until that weird win, then all the “I’m just logging onto HFBoards if Finland wins a game”-people log on and spout nonsense?

Eh.

The thread was 75% complaining about calls and non-calls all the way through the game. Whichever team lost would have brought up the refs, especially with trolling from the other side.

Oh well - not surprised, Finland always gives Sweden a tough time and when they didnt win this game in the third period.. I kind of expected this to happen.

They just couldnt beat Rimpinnen.

One can whine and moand about the penalties how much one want, but Sweden had chances in OT and didnt take them and had a pretty poor PP, and as much as I dislike the Willander penalty, it really should have been over prior to it.

Finland converted on their PP- and in the end, Sweden has the worst Penalty Kill in the tournament and that's not going to work against the good teams in the tournament.

Congrats Finland, good luck in the final.
