You can blame the refs but people forget they make these calls at high real life speed which probably looks like a high stick to them. Until they make more penalties reviewable or have an eye in the sky ref to correct calls, like you said is gonna happen all the time. Embellishment and diving has been a huge problem in hockey that’s been part of the game and NHL and other leagues haven’t been making an effort to counter it.

Dude I’m Canadian and have zero horse in this race. There is exactly one Red Wings prospect on each team too. Rimpinen was the difference tonight. Thelin has been shaky all tournament and was bad again tonight. Sweden dominated that game and especially the second half.
