Guess you earned some bragging rights. Of course this team isn’t set up to have anyone replace Askarov unless it gets REALLY dire, but under normal circumstances he absolutely would have been chesed in the first.

Canada looked a bit better this period but nowhere near 3-0 lead worthy. Goaltending is a huge difference.

Watched a lot of Askarov this year. He's not the same goalie at the WJC he is elsewhere. Wonder if it's a mental thing.

Can't have that shaky mentality tho

Canada is seriously owning Russia below the dots on both ends

Byfield and Holloway are a great grinding pair together.

Holloway has seemed to spark a great performance from any line he's placed on this tournament. He hasn't been on the score sheet a lot, but good things just seem to happen when he's on the ice.
