You really hope canada loses the final after this decision
Yes, because logic...So a team you dislike should lose a game (they're dominating, but that's neither here or there) because the officials took the right decision (which involved no judgement call) as per the current rules?
To everyone complaining about the goal being called back due to offsides: Was the entry offsides? Yes, it was offsides.
I know it took place x amount of seconds before the goal. But allowing an offsides entry to remain uncalled influences the entire sequence of events happening 5, 10, 15, etc. seconds after the illegal entry.
If goal is started by an illegal entry, then it needs to be called according to the rules.
What would happen if that goal was allowed, and then Russia somehow tied it up 4-4 in the 3rd period and won the game?
That non-call would be very controversial if that were to happen.
You need to call things by the book to avoid this type of controversy.
Those people have lost their minds as much as Askarov has lost his stick. All the HFkarens are uniting!!If you're looking at this game and you're thinking "if it wasn't for the refs, this game would be way closer!", then you haven't been actually watching this game and you should feel shame.
Nope, it was offside.

Anybody want to talk about the disallowed goal and the penalty shot?
