Barkov is the lazy answer and I can see him winning again since it's a reputation award, but Marner is the obvious and most deserving winner

the only forward in the top 20 in SH ATOI with more than 50 points.

Is even in offensive and defensive zone starts.

Leads forwards in takeaways.

Barkov has missed 15 games and most of his zone starts are in the the ozone. So much for being a "defense first" forward.

It should be Hischier...and honestly, i think J'Accuse injury has actually opened the door to Nico having a real shot at breaking the Barkov hegemony on the award. It's such a hugely reputation-based award. Hence Bergeron basically just owning it forever. But i think within that...Barkov is the heir to that mantle, but Hischier carrying on his elite defensive play while also covering for the loss of Hughes ahead of him offensively, makes him a genuine shot at taking home a Selke in the era of Barkov.
