And failed so badly in Hartford and was so toxic teams still avoid him.

I know Pat Verbeek hated him, what else did he do to earn that kind of scorn?

I literally wish some team will hire him at this point, so that I don't have to listen to him on my TV on anymore on NBC.

I literally very rarely watch regular seasons games on NBCSN/NBC anymore, unless the Sharks or Devils are playing. And the Devils don't get the Wednesday night slot ever and when the Sharks do, it's usually the 10:30 EST game and Pierre and Eddie are not calling them. If I'm home on a Wednesday night, I watch the Canadian Wednesday night game with my center ice package. There's usually not many games on Wednesday nights, but I'll avoid them at most costs. I'm also hoping that Eddie gets hired again by a team or goes to work with the horses or something. I know he's into horse racing or owns thoroughbreds or something.

I like how Polak does push the play sometimes. Honestly I'd rather have him with the puck on his stick than attempt a breakout pass. However he tries to be like Burns in that regard, and he's no Burns.

Last time a team won game five on the road in the Finals down three games to one lost game six at home. Doesn't mean anything to this team and to now but history is not on the Sharks' side here so nobody should take game six for granted.

I can't imagine there is a single Sharks fan taking anything for granted with the way this series has gone.

Exactly. Every time he rushes the puck up the ice, he makes a bad offensive play with it, gets trapped low and the other team gets a transition opp the other way against a forward playing defense. Know your role, get it deep and get tf off the ice.

What makes it worse is that he is the one that needs to get off the ice most desparately, but ends up being out the longest.

They ran a graphic on NHL Network last night that the last 4 teams to force a Game 6 while down 3-1, 3 of them lost in Game 6 and the other lost in Game 7 (Oilers vs Hurricanes)

Funny considering he has the shortest average shift time in each game also.

Vlasic/braun/burns and martin have been playing 1 minute shifts while dillon and polak have been right at or under 30 seconds for shifts.

There are some variables involved in that. Home/road and I'm assuming that was Finals only.

In the Sharks specific situation where they were down 3-1 and won game five on the road, the record for game six is 4-4 all-time in the Finals. Overall for all playoff series, it's 32-33.

OK, I'm going to enjoy this for as long as I can

I would love for Marleau to get the Conn Smyth for no reason other than to troll the hockey world. :sarcasm:

Seriously though I could care less about trophies outside of the SC.
