As much as this’ll be labeled as another choke the reality is that this Toronto team just wasn’t good enough to beat Florida. They missed their window with this group 3 or 4 years ago.

They can let Marner/Tavares walk and be able to redistribute cap in their forward group fairly easily (maybe keep Tavares depending on $) but I think the real problem is the backend. They just don’t move the puck well enough. Morgan Reilly isnt very good and anymore and he hasn’t been for awhile. I actually think that’s their biggest issue currently given they’re about to get off a ton of money up front
