Honestly the panthers are trashy. Bennet with his head shots and Tkachuk with his cheap shots. Add jones and they are a very unlikable team.It feels odd to cheer for the Leafs
Still not as unlikable as the Leafs.Honestly the panthers are trashy. Bennet with his head shots and Tkachuk with his cheap shots. Add jones and they are a very unlikable team.
Bennett is a cheap shot artist not unlike Raffe Torres. He put out Knies last year and now Stolarz. Unfortunately, Leafs don't have an answer and the refs are useless to stop it.Honestly the panthers are trashy. Bennet with his head shots and Tkachuk with his cheap shots. Add jones and they are a very unlikable team.
Carolina is a team that has a first line and three third lines, and they sure as hell play like it.Analytics will surely favor Carolina but they’re just throwing non stop junk at net.

f***ing atrocious performance from Vegas
Personally, I don't think any series with Carolina would be fun. They bore me to death. There are lots of ways to out-score the other guys. Unrelenting shot volume is one of them. Brindamour was in the NHL long enough to know how the game works.
I dont think they’ll have much trouble with WSH, it’s Florida that is a tough matchup for them. Toronto/Carolina would be a fun series.
In fairness, they did try to get Rantanen. The fallout of that has kinda left them in transition with a half-complete reshuffle of talent.

Love brind a’mourDifferent strokes for different folks.
Carolina plays to me like an unholy union of the 2010-2015 Hawks and the 2012-2014 Kings.
Like the Kings, there's just an relenting structure. They play the same way every shift, every game. Just line after line, wave after wave, of Terminator-like fixation on the structure.
Like the Hawks, there's just consistent pace and finesse on both offense and defense. Players skate as fast on the backcheck as they do on a break-away. The quick sticks and soft, short passes to relieve pressure and maintain possession. The sneaky takeaways, the battles won with a good lift. The same skills make for silky passes in the ozone.
On the downside, they have little of the physicality of those Kings teams, nor the offensive creativity of the Blackhawks teams.
They are boring, in that there are no surprises. No hail marys, no miraculous recoveries from a risky play that backfired.
You watch a Carolina game, you will see all four lines do the same thing, shift, after shift, after shift, after shift.
