Jose Theodore won the hart and vezina playing behind a defense as worse as that. Not blaming the goalies just saying they have been terrible this year like everyone else.
This is the worst defensive habs team I have seen in a very long time.

Yes, goalies need to be better but the team is leaving them out to dry too many nights.

I actually did not mind Marty's conference. He didn't like that some of the players said:"we have to throw this game into the trash and start over". He was like "we cannot just throw it" meaning we have to be accountable of the crap we did. And looking at it. I also agree with him that it's not the same as when they faced the Rangers when they were dominated. Here a lot of things sort of happened (really Monty blew chunks). Just a weird turn of events all around.

Bottom line though was that they sucked.

The NHL is starting to know the book on Mounty, that's the unfortunate realization of the last 2 blowout games.

Long range precise wrist shots on the irons = Mounty is not the best puck tracking G.

I remember a few seasons ago when it was "leaked" that Vasilevsky s weakness was screened wrist shots from the blue line... those shots are nightmare for goalies and Monty was bad no question but your D needs to take care of not letting that happen : the forward coming towards the Dman needs to block shots, you need at least one Dman in front of your own net and have a shot at blocking the shot so that the goalie can focus on a smaller area.

For sure but blocking shots is an experience thing, something we wont gain for a while.

Suzuki D+8, Dach CC Newhook D+6, Dvorak Anderson Gallagher Evans Armia are seasoned veterans, there is no excuse to not blocking shots for them (even assuming I'd give a pass to Kapanen, Heineman, Slaf due to inexperience)
