So maybe a dumb question, but if Denver makes a substitution for their fg team, couldn't mcd have also have made a substitution and prevented them from snapping while the clock ran out? Or is there some dumb rule in the last 2 minutes

They’ve taken one of the games elite improvisers, play extenders and running weapons and told him to never do any of that and get the ball out quick instead.

They want an accurate timing offense.

Even though it plays into every weakness of a QB who has MVP strengths. That they don’t want.

There's a dumb rule specifically for this situation where "its obvious" they are bringing in the FG unit.

No one has to spy Allen because he doesn’t run. That puts another defender in the mix. No one runs patterns downfield because they want the ball out before they’d get there. He has 2 seconds to throw a short pass with extra coverage and when his brain says run his coach says don’t.

It’s beyond broken.

If you want this offense…go get Jimmy G.

If you want to win…go get man offensive mind with a f***ing clue.

This isnt even a case of trying to fit Allen’s square peg into a round hole. They had to actively remove the square slots he fit into. Beane did it in his roster build. McDermott did it with his no running bullshit. Dorsey did it with his scheme meant for a system QB.

They want something he isn’t. Which is a fireable offense on every one of those levels. Wasting years building and calling the wrong offense.

The second interception had nothing to do with any of what you just wrote. Like most of Allen’s inceptions.

When the QB argues with Tom Brady about taking what the defense gives you, that’s all you need to know.

Riddle me this, what was the last dual threat QB to win a Super Bowl with dedicated running?

Get your way, and Allen won’t make it to 32 in the league.

I don't follow the Bills nearly as much as the Sabres but what is going on with Josh?

Is it bad decision making, scheme, a mix of both? Its so confusing to watch as an outsider.

It's a mix of 3 things:

1.) A lot of it is very poor decision making at times. Josh trying to force things and/or seeing things that aren't there
2.) Some of it is scheme
3.) Some of it is just plain bad luck -- he's had 2 or 3 INTs that legit weren't his fault (ie, off RB/WR/TE hands).

But it's majority decision making. He's just not seeing things right this year.

Maybe it’s just me…but if Allen is going to turn the ball over anyway…I’d rather he do it while wilding out in shootouts than in games they try to manufacture long, time consuming drives that fizzle out after three plays.

I don’t care if they fire Dorsey, but I don’t know how you blame him for that disaster.

He’s got nothing to do with it today. I think the biggest argument for firing Dorsey is: (a) while he isn’t the problem, he hasn’t shown he is the solution either; and (b) just to switch things up (generally a bad argument).

I think you can switch out Davis with someone, but for the most part the offensive starters are going to return
