The explanation from the former ref was absolutely garbage. There are throws like that in every game that are NEVER called. Complete and utter BS.

I have watched hundreds of NFL games. I have seen that type of plays thousands of times. I have never seen a penalty called. Not one time

McDermott's defense was doing great when it was healthy.

I think they mean more than just the defense. Since he’s the head coach he’s in charge of everything.

Offense and special teams have underachieved.

Questionable decision making etc.

Missing that tripping call is f***ing egregious. Any ref who had a sight line and didn't call it should be fired.
