Buffalo Bills Season over. Ow.

And for guys to f***ing make plays in the biggest moments. Ultimately, that's what it comes down to: our guys don't make the plays when they matter most.

Eli Manning won a Super Bowl because David Tyree of all people made a miracle catch.

Josh Allen is going home again because Dalton Kincaid couldn't make a tough, but makeable catch. Meanwhile Xavier Worthy made the play to take the ball away from Bishop. Their DL made the play on the tush pushes. In the critical moments, their guys find ways to make the plays, and ours don't.
Cook made the play of the game. Hollins had an insane catch. Josh threw a miracle pass that Kincaid failed to catch.

We survived Baltimore on a drop despite the MVP putting together a great drive. Ravens missed two point conversions, now the Bills did the same.

The biggest moments are defined by the winning team.

It sucks to lose against the Chiefs but considering the team is in a re-tool with massive dead cap this was a great performance.

At the same time Allen having to be GOAT every single time to be able to just barely beat KC isn't reasonable either. Only the first matchup he wasn't great but he's otherwise played well enough to win the other three times, but the D could never hold the fort and guys always dropped the ball or fell short.
The beginning of the game counts too. Allen was extremely shaky out of the gate

Josh is going home because his defense did worse against the Chiefs than any defense has done against them all season.

Nah this is bullshit. The Chiefs offense played down to their opposition for much of the year with two score leads (certainly in the second half of the year). Whenever their offense has needed it, they've gotten it. Against anyone (except us in the first meeting, though being down two scores put them in impossible mode in that game)

A couple of thought, but before anything else, surprisingly I'm not as disappointed as I thought.

1. James Cook is a f***ing star in this league. Get this man re-signed ASAP. He was their best player tonight imo.

2. The 4th down call sucked, but the first 2 times when KC showed they could stop the tush push they should have went to something else. I was screaming for them to give it to Cook there.

3. Elam is done. Get him off the team. Waste of a 1st round pick. Isn't Jamarcus Ingram a corner? He had an INT earlier this year and I thought he looked at least like a competent NFL player. After the 5th time of Elam getting burned they should have made a change.

4. Ultimately, even with the crappy 4th down call to go against them they had the game in their hands. Josh couldn't get it done. Yes, Kincaid should have made the catch, but it shouldn't have even come down to that.

They scored more points against us than they've scored all season. Mahomes had the highest success rate of his career! They got carved up. As I expected, they've been a below average unit most of the season. Hopefully with some serious investment on the defensive side of the ball and dead weight like Von gone, they can take a big step. I'm expecting almost all of their high draft picks to be on defense.

Allen scored more points against this Chiefs defense than anyone has scored all season.

Guys, I've decided who I'm rooting for in this year's Super Bowl:

Hell of a season for our rebuilding boys. Almost 70M in dead cap space and we made it to the AFCC.

8 picks this upcoming draft + 2 compensatory? 6 in the first-4? Load up on Dline.

They were healthy and we were missing Rapp and Benford. And they got the calls. And we still almost won.

This is hitting me like the night we lost our 4th straight to Dallas. I’m so f***ing defeated.

But the future is bright. Go Bills ❤️

It was supposed to be a retrenching year. What they accomplished was epic and yet the holes from the dead cap are part and parcel to why they lost today. The defense doesn't have the depth to overcome and they didn't have the money to make improvements.

But every year is a new story and this one ended on a sad and resigned note for sure. If only.

I thought Epineza outplayed Rousseau today, speaking of guys who's decision time is coming up. Rousseau was regularly out-leveraged to the outside when his responsibility was contain on the pass rush. Constantly off the line slow.

Another thing to point out is that while yes, they certainly got the ref "luck" (hard to call it luck when it happens everytime and smacks of actual bias, but whatever), we put the ball on the ground 3 times on offense (not counting Allen's dropped snap) and got it back every time, while recovering their fumble as well. Fumble luck was definitely on our side today or this could have been out of reach.

On the bright side the officials weren't egregiously in favour of KC. The Bills got beat. I never felt comfortable in the game even when the Bills were leading. You can blame the defence (and there are some valid points) however they did force some punts and held KC to the late FG so ultimately the offence had a chance to send the game to overtime or potentially win with a TD. Unfortunately the offence couldn't get it done when it mattered most.

I don't know what else to say. Is it weird to say that in a way the losing seasons were better because expectations were non-existent and we didn't have to ride the wave of emotions that is playoff football? lol. No, winning is better but they need to start winning the important games.

We were the first team to have the ball with the lead against Kansas City since our game against them in Week 11 (and well, we know how that possession ended :madfire:. They were definitely holding stuff back all year, and every time they needed to have it against anyone, they got it. KC's offense isn't back to when they had Hill, for sure, but they're an extremely efficient and very good offense at this point of the season. They hadn't scored 30 yet because they hadn't had to score 30 yet (even still, they ended the regular season HOU game in field goal range to get to 30 and just didn't have to kick) The defense played very well in the 2nd half to give us a chance.
