Why can’t McDermotts defense be like Spags. So much more aggressive. More fun to watch. McDermott would’ve sat off the coverage.
Coverage that gets beat.

Bishop I think is going to be a good strong safety. Maybe as soon as next year.Need to replace Elam and Hamlin. Could probably stand to replace Douglas and Bishop/Rapp. Need a better DT next to Oliver.
Jesus I’ll live but this feels like shit. We choked.
For how much we've invested into the defensive line they can't get pressure at all in these big games.
Yup. I'll more than likely start a new offseason thread tomorrow or Tuesday.Tonight, I think it is fair that we are all heartbroken, especially when we were so close...
Tomorrow, we can discuss fixing the team.
Either cut or retired. Think they save around 8M cutting him.Is Von going to be gone now? Waste of a roster spot because of the lost step.
It's a technical point....but Coleman was a 2nd rounder.Last 3 firsts
Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid, Kaiir Elam
Either invisible or awful this game. Drafting needs to be better.
And as predicted at the beginning of the season, Worthy gashed us in important moments. Wasn’t unstoppable, but had a few backbreaking plays and a TD.Last 3 firsts

The same thing eliminates us every year. I don’t know how to fix that. I know the Chiefs couldn’t score 30 all year…but here comes Sean McDermott’s team to let you walk right through.Team should be better next year, won't have all that dead cap money.
It's going to be a fun ride with Allen, but the Chiefs are the Bulls of this era. He'll have his chances, but I'd say Allen has a 20% shot of bringing a lombardi home. Burrow and Lamar in the conference makes it even more improbable.I'm more confident than ever that Josh will get us one eventually.
This stings though
To be fair, they did recognize that they couldn't run it back and did a bit of a soft reset. This year should give us a huge block to build on.You win and lose against teams like this in the margins and they always come up short. You can win a Super Bowl in any given year with a QB like Allen, but you have to maximize your chances. That can be done in the roster, the management, or the coaching, and maybe they’ll push forward. At a certain point though you have to try more than just running it back again and again.
Yeah. The one a few years ago we were completely outclassed. This is the worst one yet. My God this stings. I'll be over it soon enough but right now this completely sucks.
The single best way to ensure this doesn't happen again would be to get home field advantage next season so the AFC Championship game is held in Orchard Park and not KC.The same thing eliminates us every year. I don’t know how to fix that. I know the Chiefs couldn’t score 30 all year…but here comes Sean McDermott’s team to let you walk right through.
How does that get addressed?
Feels impossible.
What changes? The team needs some DTs, DBs, a field stretching WR. Maybe some more pass rushers. Re-sign Hollins and some others. Brady is back. They're in really good shape to just make the playoffs. Making the SB is a different story. Changes need to be made for that to happen.
It's not an over-reaction when it's been 4+ years in a row of this.
I've got a pretty clear idea on what needs to happen. What changes? The team needs some DTs, DBs, a field stretching WR. Maybe some more pass rushers. Re-sign Hollins and some others. Brady is back.
Because that’s going to be enough.
