Buffalo Bills Season over. Ow.

As I think through futures, I’ve talked myself into the 1990s Dallas Cowboys rotational front idea. The only player on the current t front who I think needs to get lots of snaps is Rousseau. I think they need to get rotational REs and DTs.

The Bills’ defensive ancestor is the 1970s Steelers. Gap penetration with zone behind it. 1990s Dallas, 2000s Bucs, 2010s Wannstedt Bills, and current Bills all come from that form of defense.

There are two ways to make it work:
- pour resources into creating an elite front 4
- use a strong rotation

Beans already tired way one and it’s had middling results. I’d try way two.

1st unit (primarily run downs): Jones, another DT, another end, Rousseau

2nd unit (primarily pass downs): Oliver, Carter, Epenesa, Rousseau

That’s how I’d work it.

In looking at this, a split in this last two games is a success.

I feel like if we win sunday, the hype going into the Detroit game is going to loud. An 8 game win streak vs 11 game win streak super bowl preview. Given detroit will have extra rest and we will be coming off west coast trip, I think detroit will be hyped out of their minds. Its not going to be an 'unwinnable' game, mind you, it simply will guarantee Detroit is up and at their full attention.

On the flip side, if we lose Sunday, the week by week media machine is going to turn on the bills pretty quick. No one will give us a chance vs the juggernaut Lions. The Lions coach was calling his own team a 'team of destiny' last week after the win. So the Lions hype would be obscene.

If we win both, then get ready for the absolutely intolerable bandwagoning by the Media.

If we lose both, the only real effect it has is we likely won't get the bye and could be the 3 seed vs the 2 seed. Not a monumental shift from where we are currently.

Get the split, at a minimum, and we likely can still get the 1 seed.

I think for a coach to be talking about destiny in week 14 is a hilarious blunder on their part.

Good teams learn quickly that it is a long season and the regular season is just a long pre-season.

This is great test we can outwirk them on both lines like two years ago and Allen beats a great slinger w his mobility

Buffalo Bills Week 14 Roster Moves

DT DeWayne Carter was activated from injured reserve and linebacker Nicholas Morrow was released.

TE Zach Davidson and Safety Lewis Cline elevated from practice squad.
new hungry yutes earning time .

I wouldn't mind seeing Allen air it out all game and put up like 400+ yards passing and like 4 TDs...Just to mix it up...I think that would be fun.

LAR give up on average 144.2 yards/game on the ground. Which is 5th worst in the league. I think one thing this coaching staff has done really well this year is game plan and attack the opponent’s weaknesses. I don’t think this will be nor will it need to be an Allen air it out game.

Lol jets

Even if they win. Lol jets
I will say, the Jets still have talent, Bills should not take that game lightly down the stretch. First game was a one score game--largely because the Bills let the Jets hang around by doing things like giving up a Hail Mary and missing kicks, but still.

But man, the Dolphins have a real chance to win out and go to the playoffs with the Broncos schedule what it is, and the Colts being the Colts. To lose it here would be really fun.
