Is it too late to go after this guy?

Laughable, you guys are all dreaming if you think a massive rebuild, or a build at all is happening. they will take 1 more run at it with the group they have left next year. Making the playoffs was the worst outcome for this team, it will allow Chevy another pass and no changes next year…

You're more than likely right, unfortunately.

So much to comment on. I guess the only thing I want to say right now is thanks to everyone who Winnipeg made my trip so special and memorable for me and my son. All the other bullshit about the team and goal tending and skaters and all that crap can come later
I might not agree with you at times, but we’re brothers in our Jets fandom. I‘m glad you & your son had a positive experience.

Cheers

Say what you will about Scheifele, the team is lost without him in the playoffs.

I almost turned that game off, but wanted to to witness the end of this core. I choose to remember it fondly.

Onwards and upwards to the next thing.

Appreciate everything the boys did this year, and a huge thank you to Bones for the pretty massive systems change this year. It was nice having a defence for a change! When we were on we were electric!

2023 didn't work out as we were trending downward towards the playoffs and unfortunately that trend continued once there and we just couldn't figure things out. Still think we need to spend more resources on the psychology side of things as I'm pretty sure a big part of our slide was just a mental/confidence issue.

I'll give Broissoit credit for taking his chance and running with it. I liked him when he was here and wish him the best.

Rest of the Knights can suck it though. Cap cheaters can go eat a bag of dicks.

sadly, as much there needs to be a change, looking in hindsight and how chevy/organization handles situations/issues, doubt if there will be any major changes, just tweaks...he will put off the need till his hand is forced to........

Another season has come and gone with a result that we don't like, the Jets being eliminated from the playoffs. I give this game five golfing mishaps out of five...

The final results for the Prediction Contest: Playoff Edition have been posted, so go check out to see who won...

A big thank you to everyone on HFJets for making this year so enjoyable. It was a lot of fun and I hope to see you all next season when we will start all over again. I'm going to take a well deserved rest, and hope my boss doesn't find my hiding spot at work. See you all at the Draft...:thumbu:

We've won 1 of our last 8 playoff games, they are the weak leadership and constant cancers. We deserve better than what they deliver.
well scheifele has only played in 3 of those 8 games and wheeler is past his prime, the cancer thing is so overstated and has literally zero proof that they are cancers to the room

Feels like it SHOULD be the end of an era.

I understand a rebuild is probably necessary but if the team is no good next year it'll be difficult for me to get invested in the individual games. I know people say they'd rather watch a team that's trying hard over a team like this with talent that doesn't use it but I'd like to exercise a third option which is watch neither choice.

schefiele, wheeler, helle and pld all have 1 year left, there is no way we go into the season with all that uncertainty

We'll see how far Chevy can ride the injury excuse while conveniently ignoring the dreadful latter half of the season.

Injuries are a legitimate excuse for what happened in the playoffs no team can survive missing 3 top-6 players and your #1 D in the playoffs but running it back isn't an option considering how many of the Jets stars are on expiring contracts. Can't afford to walk 80, 37 and 55 to free agency.

Posting this now so that everyone can bookmark this and hold me accountable if I don't follow through on it. If PLD is on the team to start the next season then I am not watching the Jets. I cannot stomach another season of watching that guy wear a Jets jersey!

Edit: I can accept cheering for guy who didn't want to be here but played his heart out each and every shift (Trouba). I can also accept a guy who wants to be here and works hard every shift even if he doesn't have the skill to pull everything off (Lowry). What I can't stand is a guy who doesn't wanna play for the Jets who half asses so many nights while he is in the prime of his career.
Very well said. I get the same vibe from him and want him gone tomorrow. Send his stuff to Montreal.

They are the leaders dude. Cancer is harsh cuz that's some deadly disease and while I don't think they are that, I do think where there's smoke there's fire and lots of smoke around 55 and 26 for years now
