See, i personally line his game. There’s little things that’s improved compared to last season, he’s carrying the puck more and holds to it instead of dumping the puck.

He just seem a bit off tonight.

Habs were constantly horrible in 2nd periods last year and that trend continued in the 1st game this year

We sucked in 2nd periods. But Leafs should have scored and didn’t.

We were terrible last year in the second period as well I think. The long change is hard on the Habs. Glad to be past it with a lead.
I thought d zone play was suspect though. Lotta scrambling.

Xhekaj, Matheson & Savard have been good defensively. Guhle had his issues in the 2nd, as did Hutson. Barron was ..... eh.

Yes fully agreed, the only PP that scored was at a time they opened with PP2 and then went into PP1 after 30 seconds. The Dach positioning on the 5v3 was unefficient in my opinion. For me the two main issues at 5v5 are the coveraage in their own zone and the inability to keep the puck possession.
