Yuuup gonna be another loooong year. Last season we all knew it from the start. This year will be no different. Management continues to believe that this team still might be any good and continue to hold onto third and fourth line players throughout the roster. But the difference between last year and this year is that we actually have hope in some of our young players.

The Kings should play better this year over last season. But I think the rest of the teams in the conference all improved more than the Kings. So I expect them to face stiffer competition, especially in the pacific Division. A 68 pt year wouldn’t shock me, but I expect more close games and an improvement in goals overall.

High 70's,but they will look and feel more competitive in games. I have no faith in Carter, Toffoli, or Kovalchuk, and the defense looks extremely suspect (especially when Bjornfot's 9 games are over)

I’m not concerned about points. This season needs to be about the development of the young guys and determining which vets have a role going forward. Then hopefully we then move on the guys that will not be a fit.

Given the Kings’ talented pool of prospects, the only thing that will really help this team is time. We have the right management, coaching staff, and scouting staff in place so far. We just need our young guys to develop and our old guys to leave. If the Kings can rid themselves of a couple contracts - Kovalchuk, Carter, and Toffoli come to mind - then this season will be a success, no matter how we do in the standings. We are looking at another top ten pick, which will hopefully bolster our talented youth movement even further.

Sit back, relax, and hope we at least lose 4-3 rather than 1-0.

Way many unknowns on D.

Hutton - will he step up?

Bjornfot - will Blake play the 10 or 5 year plan on him?

Then there is Quick and his really good trajectory - is Todd gonna be ancient or is he going to split the crease?

We got plenty to rotate at forward and hopefully bench Kovolchuck quickly.

80’s is not out of the question but at cost of the draft.

All up to Blake at this point.

The draft is a total crap shoot after last years farce. you can finish 20th and still get a top 4 pick. Hell. I'm already betting NJ wins it again.

They won't be a s bad as last year and 75-85 points is where I see them.

about 80 points is where I see the kings.

It’s gonna be a long season, but I expect to see growth from the younger players getting an opportunity (Lizotte, Grunds etc.), then they’ll hit a wall later in the season that most young players hit. We’ll shuffle up other guys from Ontario (Mikey, Clague, etc) to get their opportunity. If they’re able to handle NHL pace/competition, Blake will start moving out veterans (Lewis, Carter, etc). If Campbell keeps up his string play, he might be moved too.
