Lane Hutson is going to have a slow start so he will not win the Calder award.
Habs will not make the playoffs unless Carey Price makes a surprise comeback.
Cayden Primeau will be in tandem with Sam Montenbeault.
Cole Caufield is not going to score 40+ goals.
Juraj is probably going to have only 50 points but with highlight reel potential.

But if Suzuki, Dach and Roy and Newhook push it to the next level it would change everything.

40 goals for Caufield, Dach as #1C, Roy with 50 points all seem possible. I would say the least likely is Dach supplanting Suzuki as 1C this season even though I think he eventually will, unless the Suzuki, Caufield and Slaf line is broken up.

Most likely I think is Roy getting 50 points but a lot of those things could happen. Cc getting to 40 would probably be my second choice. I’m really hoping he goes back to normal. If he does, he has an outside shot at 50 goals.

Nah I like Monty plenty, but there's a lot of year-to-year variability with starting goalies and he isn't established in the upper echelon to the point where Montreal wouldn't give Primeau the reins if he was outperforming him.
Still too early. Monty is established today. He looks so confident and he can almost be arrogant. Primeau is just starting, a new year for him is like he have to confirm he belongs there. I can be wrong, maybe Primeau is the new Roy but I doubt it. It's not like he crashes everything at the age of 18 like a superstar.

The age.
A lot of goalies established themselves at that 24-25-26 range that Primeau is, like Monty did.

In terms of stats, he was the best goalie last year and I know it's far from being the most important or telling stats but he got 2 SO last season in 21 games.....something Montembeault has not done once in 81 games for the last 2 seasons.

We're making playoffs bitches.

Buckle up.

Will come down to team D and goaltending. I think there is enough offense but the D is still young and needs to mature. It could happen this season. I expect the Habs to be in the playoff bubble group. If we start the season well and not dig a hole, we could make it. This is not that far fetched as some think so it's not really bold.

Bold statements:
* Suzuki gets 100 pts
* Both Caufield and Laine score 40+
* Dach plays a full season and has 85 pts

We finish 5th in the Atlantic (essentially, we're the Detroit of last year). We don't make the playoffs but we get a lot closer than people expect.

Monty gets some recognition for next Olympics/Four Nations.

Dach plays at least 60 games.

I voted Caufield scores 40, but it was close.

Equally Possible:
- Dach becomes the #1C
- Suzuki gets 100 pts.
- Slafkovsky is above PPG
- Primeau becomes the #1G

Stretching It:
- Roy gets 50+ pts
- Habs PP is 23%
- Habs make playoffs

No Way:
- Anderson scores 30+
- Hutson wins the Calder
- Habs finish bottom-3
