Really need to bring in a replacement. Calling up guys from Tucson isn't going to get it done.
Söderström would have been good for this situation.
I think Bortuzzo will be back next game and they did call up Koch. Also, isn't Marino due back soon? Missing Durzi will hurt for sure. Injuries happen, next man up.Next man up will have to do for now.
Bill Armstrong isn't going to make a panic decision like this.... but he has draft capital to work with if he needs it.
Koch is already called up.Söderström would have been good for this situation.
Internal replacement, is it Szuber yet? Would not want to pull him up too early, and it is so early in the season, but could see getting him up for a game or two while a long-term replacement is sorted out. He's played 1 NHL game so far.
Maybe sign Scandella or Shattenkirk. I don't know if Klingberg has recovered from his surgery, but if timing was right, could see that being a good fit due to him wanting a short contract to show he's back and only needing him to step in this year.
Sounds like UTAH and TOR would be good trading partners - Liljegren is likely available
Geez, you nailed it- sad. This is EXACTLY my feelings...One of the only perks to the team moving is that I don’t hardly give a rip what they do. I no longer have tens of thousands of dollars invested, my time investment is reduced to plopping down in front of my tv to watch. Yep, all I have to do is watch and hope they do well…. It’s quite shallow and really not as much fun.
And that interest will get less and less as players move on etc. Getting tired of everyone saying how great SLC is and how Ryan and ASHLEY Smith are the greatest owners etc. etc.One of the only perks to the team moving is that I don’t hardly give a rip what they do.
