Curious............did any of you guys watch their series with the Bruins??
Did they steam roll Charlie Chips Ahoy and the Bruins, or were the games close??
Most of their games were close. Typical playoff style games. Neutral zone was clogged up. Tight checking, no space. Obviously their goalie got chased and now they're playing with their backup so we'll see how that goes

Prepared for everything is the way to approach this series.
Too many people think this will be a calk walk.

Did you say calk walk? :sarcasm:

I personally think the Sabres are going to be real tough to handle. It's gonna be a battle. Like you, I think this 1st game is huge for us, but I can totally see a bit of an emotional let down, or adjustment period that needs to take place as we switch from Tampa to Buffalo.

Hope I'm wrong and they come out and make a statement tonight. I'm sure Buffalo is itching to go at home.

I hope caufield can pot one tonight he could use the confidence boost and the goals will come naturally again
I don't think it will start as tight checking as the TB series...........it may get there, but I don't think right away.
Our big boys, have to get going 5 on 5................and our PP needs someone to step up and shoot the damn puck................the overpassing on the PP is effecting my health.

I watched almost all of it. Much closer than you’d think. If the Bruins hadn’t totally collapsed in the 3rd of the first game they’d have beaten Buffalo.

Boston had two very bad periods and it cost em.

I'm so glad to be done with Tampa
Even THO we aren't READY ready yet
And taking Tampa just to 7 even would of been a small victory in itself

But LOSING it definitely would of left a bitter taste in my mouth ALL summer long, even knowing better days are ahead lol
So I'm TRULY thankful the boys pulled it off, absolutely ecstatic

As others have said, everything from this point on is complete *gravy* right now
Just gonna enjoy it

What should I make for dinner tonight....which one sets us up for the best karma.

Home made Poutine

or

Home made Chicken wings

What do you think, junior?

The two changes I suggested...good stuff I only hope it works.
I think MSL understands that Gallagher can't handle a full 7 game series. He'll probably be back in after game 4 like last series. As for Xhekaj, this is a really big tone setting game and Dobson seems ready to play again so Xhekaj moves the needle in a feel out game more than Struble.

I guess Kapanen is on MSL's black list

No. The problem is the coach. And being tough cannot be ignored. This isn't soccer. Toughness and roughness and ability to punch still means something in the NHL. It not everything, but it's something. Skills-wise I agree... they are roughly the same. But Arber brings that additional element of punching if need. There is nothing the Struble showed that gives him an edge over Xhekaj in terms of hockeying. My love for the support player is rooted in the fact that Habs haven't had what he brings in a long time. And what he brings is needed.
It’s a marginal difference at best.

Personally I’d rather Engstrom than either of those guys.
