I was never cocky about our chances, that's why I find the reverence shown towards our opponents a bit excessive.Prepared for everything is the way to approach this series.
Too many people think this will be a calk walk.

Good for you!I was never cocky about our chances, that's why I find the reverence shown towards our opponents a bit excessive.
Most of their games were close. Typical playoff style games. Neutral zone was clogged up. Tight checking, no space. Obviously their goalie got chased and now they're playing with their backup so we'll see how that goesCurious............did any of you guys watch their series with the Bruins??
Did they steam roll Charlie Chips Ahoy and the Bruins, or were the games close??

Same changes as MSL ??? you don't know anything about hockey and should be fired !The two changes I suggested...good stuff I only hope it works.
And people say MSL doesn't read this board. The two changes I suggested...good stuff I only hope it works.
I don't think it will start as tight checking as the TB series...........it may get there, but I don't think right away.I hope caufield can pot one tonight he could use the confidence boost and the goals will come naturally again
I didn't watch but Bruins won 2 games, didn't they?Curious............did any of you guys watch their series with the Bruins??

Agreed. The fact that X gets bs penalties is unfair, but it's still an issue that has to be considered.
I watched almost all of it. Much closer than you’d think. If the Bruins hadn’t totally collapsed in the 3rd of the first game they’d have beaten Buffalo.Curious............did any of you guys watch their series with the Bruins??

Even THO we aren't READY ready yetI'm so glad to be done with Tampa

I think MSL understands that Gallagher can't handle a full 7 game series. He'll probably be back in after game 4 like last series. As for Xhekaj, this is a really big tone setting game and Dobson seems ready to play again so Xhekaj moves the needle in a feel out game more than Struble. The two changes I suggested...good stuff I only hope it works.
It’s a marginal difference at best.No. The problem is the coach. And being tough cannot be ignored. This isn't soccer. Toughness and roughness and ability to punch still means something in the NHL. It not everything, but it's something. Skills-wise I agree... they are roughly the same. But Arber brings that additional element of punching if need. There is nothing the Struble showed that gives him an edge over Xhekaj in terms of hockeying. My love for the support player is rooted in the fact that Habs haven't had what he brings in a long time. And what he brings is needed.
NahhhCurious to see how we will start the game...hopefully we are not mentally drained from R1
Closest thing is McLeod, he's a pretty good two way guy but I wouldn't call him a premiere shutdown forward like Cirelli.Does Buffalo have any versions of Hagel or Cirelli? I didn't pay much attention to them. Thompson is the guy who always seems tough to handle.
Benson apparently HagelDoes Buffalo have any versions of Hagel or Cirelli? I didn't pay much attention to them. Thompson is the guy who always seems tough to handle.
Absolutely a factor. The fact that X gets bs penalties is unfair, but it's still an issue that has to be considered.
