You can't read into today's game too much. Our highly frequent zone carries have largely dissipated over the last few weeks. Certainly alarming. We are not a dump and chase team. We need sustainable OZ possessions and that starts with carries.
Eh, his dog on a puck, low event shifts are usually a good thing in the playoffs.Eller is not a big problem for the Caps but my god I hate watching him play these days.
He's not going to be how he was in 2018, but he's a reliable 3C.Eller is not a big problem for the Caps but my god I hate watching him play these days.
It’s been a theme for the last few weeks IMO.You can't read into today's game too much.
We goalies like to say we were playing our angles correctly!2-on-1 off the crossbar, then a 2-on-1 off both posts and stays out. Beginners luck for Stevenson?
Calm, tracking the puck well, quick reflexes, at least as far as I can tell. But I’m no expertHow is Stevenson looking besides what I see from the stat sheet?
A couple of really good saves, been largely left out to dry. Not an easy spot. How is Stevenson looking besides what I see from the stat sheet?
Generally speaking, if someone wants to be a goalie, that is part of it being left out to dry. A goalies mentality should never be to rely on help of the team.A couple of really good saves, been largely left out to dry. Not an easy spot.

Let him Halak. It exposes how much Shep's game has deteriorated.Hopefully our play improves a bit so Clay doesn’t have to continue to Halak them
Stevenson giving up a good deal of rebounds has somewhat to do with adjusting his game from the AHL to NHL, with speed and shooters. This is normal for goalies playing their 1st ever NHL game. Its one game, and I think he seems to have a real issue with rebounds, but Clay looking good while being hung out to dry makes the re-signing of Lindgren even more head scratching.
Then again, maybe they finally jettison Shep and give Stevenson the net in Hershey. They've held up that pipeline for so long now.
