whats he supposed to do when his winger bails on the forecheck and doesnt play well defensively? Galchyenyuk has been fine IMO

should foligno lay the puck in and forecheck himself? if so then let nylander play center and play defensive position? I have no faith nylander is capable of doing that

Maybe he can learn how to shoot the puck at an empty net without missing it by 10 feet? Maybe he can learn how to receive a pass? Nylander may suck at many things but if you're on the ice with him, maybe considering preparing yourself for receiving a pass?

Not like Foligno has done that well even in the areas he's supposed to be good at. Where's the intensity?

Did they ask for NHL salaries?

Or did they ask for the same rights as most sports teams and be shown on television and given ample exposure?

How is that a right to be on TV? And that isn't simply clicking a play button. That is investing millions of dollars and operating at a loss for no reason other than the gender.

So sandin has a 100mph slap shot?

he is way too slow acceleration wise. Almost got got again

No one wants to watch. Give it up. If they did, it would have been on a long time ago.
All the networks care about is profit, not what they show to get it.

Nylander has been miles better than Mitch to me

Nylander's moronic defensive play caused the goal against. And he was almost responsible for 2nd goal agasint end of the period by kicking puck in the d-zone as there was a hab forechecking

what game are you watching? nylander bailed on forechecks about 4 times by my count because he didnt want to get hit

@Getz2noone? Assume you would have seen him quite often in his prime?
I think a lot of it had to do with the change of the game.... in his prime he played a lot during the clutch and grab years.... and being a big bodied center with good vision/sense made him a pretty dominant player, but over the last decade + the game has gotten much faster, and Thornton’s average skating has gone to below average.

Spezza skating has declined but not nearly as much as big joe.... and spezza has def changed his style up to make himself viable. I also have much more faith in spezza than Thornton.... there is a reason why Thornton doesn’t have a cup, he never had that 2nd gear come playoff time.
@Stephen

I honestly think he's changed his entire approach to the game. Instead of being the master of 6 foot passes and sticking his ass out to make space he just goes out there now and tries to throw his body around or screen the goalie. I wouldn't mind it so much if he was doing it for 8 minutes a night every other game, but it's painful to watch when he's on PP1

He always looks like he has his head down and puck in his feet and his puck handling is worse than Luke Schenn’s. I remember his prime game being more like a bigger Draisaitl. Make smart passes and heads up plays, swooping in off the wing, hip out puck protection like Mats Sundin. Spezza still looks like Spezza. Thornton just looks like a shell.

They have the same right. Women’s leagues make no money. That’s why they don’t get paid well.

but again. during that add, I didn't hear her saying that they wanted to be paid the same as NHLers. If she did. then I take it back. but I didn't hear her say we deserve the same pay as NHLers.
