Nice job not giving them anything.

Just want to see Lemieux and Kreider pulverize Svech. I like Svech too and have a very high opinion of him — but we just can’t have him running around. Aho and Teravainen alone are a handful.

Save us Igor! You too Breadman!

So does hank f*** with their heads or are they way more calmer with shesty?
I don't think you can underestimate the value of Shesty's puck handling skills agains a high pressure forecheck like Carolina's. He is really disrupting their rhythm. When Hank was back there he would be able to catch a dump in like 1 in 4 times. That makes a huge difference.

Power outages remain in NJ. Watching through my phone like a goddamn pilgrim.

Always good to know that streaming services operating out of some guys basement in Croatia can still bring the sweet, thorough analysis of Joe Micheletti to my living room.

If people know anything about pilgrims, it’s that they had to watch TV on their phones.

I feel better with Igor in the net. Henrik's still an okay NHL goalie. Alex is better--Igor's our best.

Energetic period from Lemieux and that helped. Really loved how Smith sat Svechnikov down on his ass. That was a tough hit.
That hit was terrific. Loved loved loved.

Nail on the head.

That said, our forecheck isn't doing a whole lot, but Shesty's basically Brodeur and not letting them dump and chase.

The Carolina moron mentioned something completely in passing which might have a lot to do with why the Rangers look slow.

Reimer went out to Western Canada and skated every day with several other NHL players, one being Joel Edmonson. How many Rangers live in New York City, and weren’t allowed to skate for a few months?

Yeah it feels like a majority if not at least a very vocal minority.

I mean Lundqvist is a once in a generation player and one of the best players and the best goalie to every play for our our franchise, you’d think that would earn him enough loyalty to realize he’s past his prime but still respect him. The flat out disrespect is ridiculous.
I don’t know about others, but I respect Hank of course. The most consistent goalie of all time and one of the greatest for sure. I do not respect the temper tantrums and I do not respect when people shame others for having the opinion that Hank is not great anymore, regardless of his great career. It’s so tiring at this point. I would like Hank a little more if it wasn’t for people like yourself and a few others (and I mean that respectfully), who shove excuses down our throats and will not let any criticism go. There’s a few posters on here who only post and talk about Hank. I’m not angry at them, but it’s exhausting. But there’s also some posters who go too far with the criticism, and blatantly disrespect him. I’m not a fan of that. But I think some of the disrespect is because of the frustration with some posters, not only because of Hank.

But what are you gonna do. It’s the internet

I'm not sure. It really does feel like a different team in front of Shesty

It's always been that way for years. The Rangers always looked different in front of Talbot...Raanta...Georgiev...Shesty.

Too much comfort with Lundqvist? Do they try to play a different game to try to play to his strengths? Who knows, but they look better tonight.
