If our defense is solid there still could be a little chance. or we can get some puck to Stanky in good positions. We really need that sniper.

It's kinda funny how Johnston in juniors was the playmaker and here he's the goal scorer.

Meanwhile Stankoven has always been an elite goal scorer but here so far his playmaking is really standing out

Everyone in my household shit themselves as I jumped around the loungeroom cheering the game winner.

Unreal game Wyatt, Miro

Jake really was strong from the 2nd Vegas goal. Would love a shutout from him game 4, hope he's feeling it now.

Great work by Seguin on those D zone draws through OT. Big wins, lose anyone of those and Vegas could set up for a possible game winner

Seguin as a Dallas Star: 0.39 goals per game in the regular season. 0.19 in the playoffs.
this is skewed quite a bit i imagine by him nearly ending his career playing on one leg through the entire finals run

Also shootout to Miro who was f***ing outstanding tonight. Man what would we do without him

The 5 Dmen who played tonight were all very good, especially in OT
Miro almost killed by friendly fire at the first goal celebration.

Hopefully Hakanpää can come back healthy and play well. PDB seems to rather play 5 defensemen than to play Nils.

PDB gave him Make-A-Wish minutes.

I don't get it, especially last night when he made a great pass from the goal line that not only cleared the zone (something the defense struggles way too much with lately), but also led to a great scoring chance. I would've expected him to play closer to his usual 6-8 minutes.

Is there an update on Hakanpaa? Kind of wish we held onto Hanley. It’s clear Lundkvist will not get playing time. But grinding 5 guys is a bit strange while the 6th just sits there.

Good question. Here you go.

Seguin as a Dallas Star:
0.39 goals per game in the regular season.
0.19 in the playoffs all games

These break down as:
0.25 in the playoff games before the bubble run
0.08 in the bubble run
0.24 in the playoff game since the bubble run

Seguin missed all but one game of the 15-16 playoff run, which was a shame because he had a very good regular season that year. Missing those dozen games back when he was still at his peak skating ability certainly cost him numbers.
