I know he ordered a sundae as a dessert, but I really like to imagine that was his order as they were all ordering steaks.
In my draft year I consumed several sundaes... I assume this is why I was apparently DND'd by the entire league.
My 11 adult children range from 3'9" 380lbs (all muscle) to 8'1" 105lbs. At 18 they were all 6'0" 175lbs.
Crazy genetics I guess.

OK, as much as I love drama, apparently Toronto media is reporting that Chayka and FO folks already flew to meet McKenna and family at their home, so ... what this means is probably extra confirmation that McK is going #1 and everyone knows it.

Honestly , I think the Leafs would do very very well moving the #1 pick to the Canucks if they were interested.

See above post, the Leafs FO already visited him and his family in Whitehorse. It's almost certainly a done deal they're taking him 1.

Then why have dinner at all with Canucks?
Not saying its anything, nor do I want the Canucks to overpay for 1st overall when im not even convinced Mckenna will be the best player in this draft in 5 years.

Nothing is ever really assured. His choice to go or not. Doesn't need to go if he doesn't want to. I'm sure while at PSU, he and his teammates heard about Shadeur Sanders and how he handled his pre draft process.
NHL draft, falling a bit doesn't really impact you financially. Getting the same contract whether he's 1 or 3 or 5 really. Unless he can't secure the second type of bonuses.

Even so, are the Leafs having dinner with anyone? He doesn’t mention any. I don’t remember that ever being a thing in the past but they haven’t had a notable pick in 10 years. I’ve got to imagine that even if the Leafs were leaning toward someone else, they wouldn’t give that away by singling McKenna out.

I can't find any reports of Chayka flying out to meet him. Is it possible the Leafs and Sharks have decided they would rather draft a defenseman?

That he did. Interesting that it wasn’t really picked up by many media members. Not a lot seems to be getting out about the Leafs right now.
