They way that arm looked... that wasn't good. Sigh. After Caufield Xhekaj was really the only reason to watch this team. Shoeman and Wideman - tankists, not all is lost.
Well I’ve enjoyed watching dach at least

Xhekaj is too good of a young player to have to fight this often. I hope this doesn't screw him up.
We really need to find the balance with him, you can’t lose a top 4 defenseman to fighting goons

All i’m saying, is if the surgery is an option go for that quickly. Don’t try to option let it heal and see if it holds and if it doesn’t get the surgery. Like they did with Caufield. Like Anderson tried in Columbus. It always failed and you loose the player for a longer time with more damages.

I’d really like him to get the surgery and come back like this next season.

Get Xhekaj fully healthy for next season. Get him the surgery if he needs it. Don’t wait like Caufield.
Bet he is not going to be the same if surgery is on the books for him- i agree better to do sooner than later it should take his tough guy down a notch i honestly am not expecting huge things from him next year. i do realize i am in the minority.

Schueneman should be NHL defenseman
He’s the perfect backup as he’s not good enough to be an everyday player but good enough to play 15-20 games while holding the fort till the regulars come back and he’ll gladly accept this role as he for sure knows that he doesn’t quite cut it as an everyday NHLer.
