I thought the hit was a step too far. On the border of predatory.. No more so though than Scheifele's hit on Jake Evans in the playoffs. Less so in fact..

Watch again, Schenn's left skate leaves the ice before impact. He is posturing his body for upward momentum as he's trying to inflict maximum damage to the bigger Scheifele, but the skate is very clearly off the ice before impact on the replays that I saw.
