Scheifele's Quest for 329 Goals.

It would be great not getting 1.0 history back as most of those records are not breakable. It's fun seeing records being broken in my lifetime.
I think only the PIM records and probably Selanne's rookie season records are likely unreachable.

Scheifele's on track to break every one of the old 1.0 career skater records (except PIMs). Single season scoring records are no longer inconceivable...although you'd need a real superstar to break them (and even then, Wheeler was only 8 behind Housley's assist record). Hellebuyck's already broken every almost every career and in-season goalie record.

Even though Jets1.0 might not be consider the same franchise as the current Jets team.
I feel the rightful Jets franchise goal scoring record is held by Hawerchuk

I don’t consider Kovy a Jet
He was a Thrasher
It will be a great achievement when Schief passes Kovy
I think the real milestone Imo is Hawerchuk’s record
I will congratulate Schief when he passes Hawerchuk’s franchise record of 379 goals as a Jet which I have no doubt Schief will reach

I agree that the Thrashers records don't mean much to us but that makes it even better when Scheif breaks it, because then no one will keep bringing up Kovy for Jets records

When Utah threw our history to the curb, I don’t know why we haven’t worked something out with the league to get it back. Leave the Coyotes history to the side if Arizona ever comes back.
like most things TNSE plays close to the vest....

I'm 100% certain there have been at least some discussion from Chippman to the BOG....

I think it's coming. Possibly with the next expansion team launches.

My family were WHA season ticket holders which set the stage for the 1.0 era where I was as emotionally invested as anyone with our team. I attended all the save the Jets rallies & refused to watch NHL during our 15 years with no team. Their return brought tears to my eyes & I live & breathe 2.0.

With all that said, franchise records are what they are & couldn't care less about merging the 1.0 & 2.0 era stat sheets, just like I didn't care that all the scoring records set during the WHA days weren't merged into the NHL.

Franchise records are franchise records. At best we can always use terms like "most for a Winnipeg based franchise" when referencing records from the past.

For clarification I do not consider Atlanta Thrashers history that important, or a part of our history. I guess it's more of Scheifele passing the "official" NHL records,

My personal opinion is Jets history starts in 1972, and we should recognise Jets NHL history from 1979 onwards. In that case, I think Scheifele has 51 more goals to catch Hawerchuk.
