I hate that I have to double check the dates on every tweet now lmao
I'm not sure that's how it works. They put a lot in place to make sure teams can't skirt the protocol. The fact that he's skating already AND in a regular contact jersey tells me he's 100% symptom free and has been for at least 24 hours. It's not only Barkov's word either - they do 3rd party neurocognitive testing and physical exam (balance/ coordination drills etc.) to make sure.I have mixed feelings on the Barkov news. On one hand, it sounds like they skirted concussion protocol by having Barkov evaluated but not diagnosed. On the other hand, I don't believe in protecting grown men from themselves.
Hopefully, he's fine and won't be putting himself at further risk.

TL;DR: This is great f***ing news. He's playing game 3.
I hear ya. The difference to me is that Stone can say he's in too much pain to play and that's completely subjective. Dr has no choice and no incentive not to take his word for it. It's much easier to say someones unable to play/ put them on LTIR than to clear them to return from concussion symptoms. A lot more on the lineNot to be an annoying prick, but they also have third party doctors watching the Golden Knights when Mark Stone is on his annual LTIR to suddenly cleared for game 1 of the playoffs medical journey. An unfortunate reality of the medical profession is that there are a lot of incompetent doctors, impressionable doctors, and unethical doctors.
But, for the sake of argument, I will assume that he woke up completely fine yesterday morning.
Huberdeau would have been like "hmm 4 hour delay huh? Who wants to go get some titties in face before takeoff?"

I mean of course what else could you expectLike many predicted Lundell has been the MVP outside of Bob

What I will say: our third line has been the difference this playoffs especially in the key pivot games.Lundell has been really good, but through 14 wins, my top 3:
1. Barkov
2. Forsling
3. Bob
Lundell and Bennett definitely my 4 and 5. This team's center depth has been a huge asset.
If Barky could just up his game to Lundell level, we’d be in good shape!Oh hell yeah Barkov isn't dead!!!

Sounds promising
Lundell and Luostarinen just flat out being better than every other team's third line has been a huge, huge asset for the Panthers, that is true. I'd add Stenlund and Kulikov as key guys who are down at the bottom of the depth chart and have been able to step in and somehow handle opposing teams' stars in big road games.
But to me, Barkov getting the toughest assignments and still leading the team in points is all that has to be said.
Vendetta should be unbanned just to eat crow.
I think some of this could be mind games. I would not be surprised to see him miss game 3. Fingers crossed.
V is probably making content for the Oilers now, they would love a good local boy, with his kind of takes.Lundell and Luostarinen just flat out being better than every other team's third line has been a huge, huge asset for the Panthers, that is true.
