Can Colorado even afford his QO?

Colorado has Nuke, Kadri, Manson, Kuemper and Burakovsky (and Cogliano/Helm) plus Lehkonen as an RFA coming off the books. They can afford to probably bring back two and still be okay for Mack’s extension. E Johnson’s 6M comes off the books when Mack needs a new deal. They’ll bring back Nuke and Lehkonen, IMO. The rest will walk.

Reaves gets a slashing penalty for a mutual roughing with Maroon. Maroon 2 hands his stick over a Colorado player and nothing is called. What a joke, that is almost suspension worthy.

If Trouba did that, there would be 100 threads on the main boards and dozens of posts demanding he be tried in the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity

Refs got tired of the constant whining or just can’t hide Tampa’s blatant penalties any more?

Nich is as good as gone. Have a feeling Jersey or the Islanders will overpay for him.

I would bet against Manson, Cogliano, and Helm going elsewhere. Manson may even go back to Anaheim. Helm and Cogliano would be both great buy low vet options for the Rangers that can bump Hunt down to the extra forward slot and can PK and win a draw.

I think Burakovsky and Lehkonen stay there long term. MacKinnon is a big fan of Lehkonen's. If the Avs want to keep Mac locked up, locking up Lehkonen would be a good first step.

I will add also, I think Girard is going to end up the cap casualty for Colorado. A team on the up and up would do well to acquire him.

I could see Helm and Cogliano staying for cheap one year deals for them if they are financially comfortable, which both should be. Manson is an easy guy you let go, he’s a physical dman, you can find one of those every deadline.
