Jdub gonna Jdub. Very classless of him.

@mayorNHL: "@westcoasthky: Justin Williams, "puck luck is for cop outs"" With that quote, Williams may have just done enough to top Conn Smythe race.

Got the split. Shelled them last night, but couldn't quite pull it out.

Have faith the Kings will work harder and get the win tomorrow.

Really need to stop dropping behind so early also. Please score first at home...

Remember that scene from Tropic Thunder where Les Grossman flips out on Flaming Dragon over the phone? Yeah? I want the Kings to act like that in Game 5.

I wanna make a Mean Jerk Time joke but mods might be unhappy with that. Suffice to say I really want them to win even at great personal cost to me.

The last time Kopitar scored a goal was in the second round against the Ducks, the 6-2 drubbing in Game 7. Since then, Kopitar has had 7 assists over the past 11 games against the Hawks and Rangers.

He needs to step it up in order for the Kings to win this series. He's gone too long without contributing offensively. Yes, he's doing a hell of a job with his two-way play, but he's the #1 C who is expected to be the driving force offensively.

They've been winning games despite his lack of production. It's amazing that he still leads the playoffs in scoring despite his recent struggles. Goes to show you how dominant he was in the first two rounds as opposed to the last two rounds.

Also worth noting that Kopitar had zero shots on goal last night, when the Kings had 40+ shots in Lundqvist.

This isn't going to a 7th game. This team has absolutely no desire to go back to NY for a 6th game.

I'm going to say it again.

They didn't have the desire to go to Vancouver for a 5th game. (2012)
They didn't have the desire to go to Phoenix for a 5th game. (2012)
They didn't have the desire to go to New Jersey for a 5th game. (2012)
They didn't have the desire to go to Chicago for a 7th game. (2014)

For all we that we gush over this team (and believe me, there is plenty to gush over), one thing they don't do very well is close teams out. Their record in close out games is not commensurate with their otherwise outstanding record in the playoffs in the past three seasons:

2012: 4-4 (other games, 12-0) (lol)
2013: 2-1 (other games, 7-8)
2014: 3-3 (so far) (other games, 12-7)

So, from their total playoff record over the past three seasons of 40-23 (.635), they are 9-8 in close out games (.529) and 31-15 otherwise (.674).

The problem is that the Rangers will have the desire to go back to NYC for a Game 6. They won't simply lay down.

We have to show up early and establish our game and leave no doubt.

Which I fully expect. I fully believe this team play's it's best game of the playoffs Friday night. I have absolutely no doubts.

Wish I had your confidence.

My feeling is the Kings are definitely superior to the Rangers. Having said that, I just find a 15-10 record in the playoffs substandard. I'm not used to such mediocrity.* The Kings of 2012 spoiled me rotten.

*I know, I know...I know. I have followed this team when I wished we were as GOOD as MEDIOCRITY.
