I always wonder if fans would cry wolf (or in this case penalties) if they actually played.

That wasn’t an intentional head shot. The positioning is a bit weird for that, but Sanford actually did everything correct in the situation when you’re taught how to hit. The unfortunate aspect of that collision is the size difference and Krug’s body position going into the time of collision.

I do play hockey and had he poked him with some sort of force then I would agree, but not the small poke he did. It's a joke, if Maroon gets called for doing the same thing I would be arguing the same stance.
