He was terrible playing big minutes but the sheltered minutes he received in STL and BOS showed he could still play at the NHL level. Richards cannot

Even though Richards will no doubt get a contract/tryout next season in the NHL, there is no doubt in my mind he is no longer an NHL caliber player. He does not have the legs or strength for this league. He should be playing in Europe.

Richards is no longer a 1C or a 2C. He's a 3C on almost every team in this league and as soon as he's bought out, he'll be signed by another NHL club.

Book it. If he's not on an NHL roster next Sept. I'll send you a $50 Best Buy gift card.

He does not have the stamina. It's not necessarily fair to blame him for that, either. He may just not have that kind of top level longetivity in his genes. I dunno, but it is obvious that he has to be bought out anyway, which is a story unrelated to performance. I knew that even when he was a real leader back in the first 2 rounds.
