Here's to hoping that Daryl's gut was wrenched up enough when Greene stumbled all over the ice and created that turnover that directly resulted in a Rangers goal, and that it was even more wrenched up when in short order Greene got called for a stupid penalty, and then even more wrenched up when he saw Greene continue to struggle to skate.

Hoping big time.

I'm thinking it was a home ice thing. Kings are up 1-0 in the series, Regehr hasn't played in forever, the Kings have been winning with Greene in there. Sutter still had the matchup, it gave Regehr an extra day, and the Kings managed to win again.

Now, on the road, that might be where Regehr comes back. He hasn't played in a while, so he could be rusty, or he could be fresh. If Greene is out there now, the Rangers can target him a bit easier.

Plus, I could see it as a similar situation to Gagne coming back for Game 3 against the Devils. The Kings were up 2-0, but were coming home, first Cup Final home game for a lot of the players. Maybe thinking they're a little too good. Gagne gets put in there after 5 months out or whatever it was, hasn't won a Cup, it gives the Kings an emotional boost. Maybe getting Regehr back in there gets the Kings a little more focused.

They are going to throw everything they have on home ice. If we start how we have the past two games we will lose. Have to match their effort and hold the line. Get it done. GO KINGS GO!

Please score first tonight. These comebacks are taking years off my life.

We are half way there. Let's get this done!

GKG!

Luckily I don't think home-ice matchups mean nearly as much in this series as they did in the other three. Not to disrespect the rangers, but I feel a lot more scared with Kane-Shaw-Saad or Bickell-Toews-Hossa vs. our 4th line than just about anything they can cobble together.

Would be nice to get the first goal and punch the wind out of MSG, but we know they're gonna be coming hard and we'll have to weather the storm. Hope we get the best of Quick tonight--may need him to be a lifesaver early on--but we all know Rangers love their first periods like we love our thirds :)

Maybe he shouldn't have had the Brazilian BBQ.

Sutter's morning interview - 2 minutes of PURE GOLD. The answer at the end was most awesome. :)

We are sitting at 222:28 (3:42:28) without holding a lead, or since Friday, May 30 (10 days).

And counting.

I couldn't care less how we win, as long as we do.

But, I want us to win 2 more games, not one.

Not how you start, but how you finish. Etc, etc. Of course a good start can make for an easier finish.

Any way you slice it, high scoring, low scoring, scoring first, scoring last, regulation, OT, just have to get the win.

Rangers are going to come out blazing even more so then the past two games. Kings have to weather the storm and keep it close in my opinion if we have a chance. This game is going to be critical either 3-0 and on the brink, or 2-1 and giving the Rangers confidence.

All for myself I claim the throne, born to rule!
My time is now.

So true. I think I read somewhere the goal differental:

1st period -1
2nd period +1
3rd period +13.

Talk about clutch....

I said this in the pregame thread:
Rangers push hard out of the gate and can't sustain it for a full 60 + OT (at least not consistently). Kings just keep playing (like cockroaches) albeit they still haven't shown their best. I have a feeling we see this exaggerated in game 3 with the Rangers trying to push hard at home while the Kings tighten up their game.

As someone else said in the pregame thread, the big push by NY in the first could either get them ahead by shelling Quick, or it could actually work against them this time if they end up opening up the ice too much trying to get that big first goal. It all depends on how ready we are to hold back that early push and recognize transition opportunities.

I'm sure the Rangers will have their speedos out and in full force for the diving competition they'll be having with each other. I guess they learned some moves in the Montreal series. Lundqvist is a big baby. If the Kings lost the game like that, Quick might have made a comment about the interference but would've taken responsibility for getting scored on 4 times in regulation. That is the issue. You blew a 2 goal lead twice and allowed the Kings to tie it after the "interference". Bringing that up is nothing but an excuse.

I posted this on the main board but thought i'd add it here as well...

This to me says a lot...Even IF you want to say its a bad goal, Lundquist does not have a Champions attitude. Instead of saying, "ya know, its a 4-3 game we still have the lead and we need to be better..." or something along those lines he *****es for almost 2 minutes about the goal. Champion teams dont do that, they criticize themselves to be better and always accept the blame.

I think this interview is very telling in to the mind set of not just Lundy but probably much of NY team. You're not going to win the cup with this attitude and the whole "whoa is us..." mindset. I was hoping for a close series but after all this crap, im really hoping we can just finish this off in NY right in Madison Square Garden.

No mercy on these whiners. Maybe completely destroying them and tearing them down will show them that no one really cares when you cry for days about something that nothing can be done about. You have to learn to be a champion and we've paid our dues and we've done that and maybe the best medicine for them is just completely decimating them the next 2 games.

Go King Go!

After Brown score the goal in double OT Henrik just stood there stunned and you could tell he was not thinking about the goal he had just given up losing him the game.....he was still thinking about that 3rd period goal. He will never be considered a championship level goaltender in my opinion. Not with that kind of attitude.

Woah... not sure if you have been posting recently but welcome back!

My head is spinning. We now have Ron and captain Ron has returned. I pity any ranger fan trying to post in this forum now.
