lol this league is so fricken rigged

They want us to believe that Florida totally dominates the first 3 games and then somehow gives up a fu*king 8-1 loss on the night they could have won it all LOL

Whether it's the NHL running the show or the Panthers running the show, they're making sure that Florida wins this in their own home town rink

No way the Panthers completely bulldoze their way through the first 3 games and then lay an 8-1 egg in the Cup-winning game lol... wake up people.. it's embarassing to realise that all those fans in the stands are celebrating and losing their shit over an 8-1 victory all while the players coast on the ice and saying wow what a bunch of idiots, if only they knew what's really going with this league...

sorry to say but when it comes to sports and hundreds of millions of dollars on the line no way do those elite people in control let it come down to just luck... outside interference has and always will be a part of the game and not just hockey but in ALL sports.. history has many, many proven examples of corruption within the games in all sports so if it's happened once it will happen again so don't come up here and try to discount this with your tinfoil hat stories lol...

I can't believe you dare to speak out on this so brazenly. Please be careful. The walls have ears. They are listening. Use a VPN, double foil, and travel safe, brave man.

They didn't "completely bulldoze" the other games. Those mostly were goalie diff. This game, too, mostly was goalie diff. This time in the opposing direction.

Welcome to watching hockey, the greatest sport there is.

It's not just played out on the ice, but in the heads and hearts.

The twists and turns can be as fast as Bennett and McDavid.

Barkov gets the conn smythe for best acting on ice.

Paul Maurice deserves the jack Adams for all the acting. They must run practices for diving. My brother said the Panthers should purposely scratch their own face to draw blood after a high stick to get that 5 min major. Or stash a pack of ketchup on their belt ready to squeeze blood.
Might wanna tell your brother that blood from a high stick isn't a 5 minute major.

That's what Edmonton needed. A huge win that opens up the offensive floodgates that we all know they're capable of.

I wouldn't be so quick to write a comeback off. This is the team that had the best record in the league since coaching change in November, the team that won 16 straight, the team that hasn't let in a single PK goal in forever....huge hill to climb still, but if Florida thinks they have it in the bag already they're in for a rude awakening.

Game 5 is going to be exciting.

Hum. I just got to watch the game and I got to give props to the Oilers. They could have laid down and died, but they showed up and routed this fantastic team on the other side.

I wish that they had come out this way from the beginning, but if there is a team that can erase a 0-3 deficit it is definitely one with Connor McDavid on it.

I will fully believe if they are able to win game 5 in Sunrise.

They kind of did. They played great in game 1 and deserved the win, but Bob was stellar and stole the game for Florida. Games 2 and 3 weren't as good, they did try to mount a comeback late in game 3, but overall probably didn't deserve the win as much.

That's why that game 1 win was so critical for Florida. It's not even about it being game 1 and taking a series lead, it's more about, when you find ways to win the games you don't deserve to win in the playoffs, it makes it a whole lot easier to find success, and that's exactly what Florida did.

How much different would things be now if Oilers had won that game 1, and series was tied 2-2 with Oilers just decimating Florida in game 4, vs it being Florida still up 3-1 and able to close it up at home?

Ok hear me out. What if the league wants McDavid to get traded to another team to gain more exposure as the face of the NHL but needs him to win a cup for the team that drafted him first. They let EDM win one but force them to trade McDavid when his contract is up.

A reminder of how much of hockey is mental. Being down 0-3 can make a team feel hopeless... or get them angry and determined.

McDavid and company had something to prove and - credit to them - went out and did exactly that. Florida remains the better team, but in hockey the better team can lose any game at any time.

(And a thank-you to those who believe the game was rigged or Florida lost on purpose. Your commitment to these kinds of comic book fantasies are a hoot!)
