Would be cool to see the Canes go 16-1

16-0 would have been cooler but they had to take Game 1 off last series

Congrats Canes. Deserve it obviously. You are finally there after a long wait. And I believe...you'll win this. Vegas will obviously be your toughest match. But you will suffocate them too.

After seeing them dismantle my Habs with unsettling ease, I really hate the Canes.

But I'll still be rooting for them as I don't want to see Carter Hart's name on the Cup.
Nothing worse than seeing a fan root for the team that just beat them. Sad

I see two similarly structured teams, but Vegas has a little more fire power, better powerplay, and id say the better goalie. With that being said, Canes still have a real chance to take this series.

I’ll go Vegas in 6 as my vote.

Since the NHL moved to four rounds of best-of-seven, I believe the best playoff record is still the 1988 Oilers at 16-2-1. The “1” was the power outage game that didn’t count in the standings anyway, so it’s essentially a 16-2 run.

Carolina has a legitimate shot at matching or surpassing that. If they do, we’d be talking about one of the greatest playoff performances ever.

VGK better offense. Canes better defense. Both coaches excellent. Both goalies playing well. Plenty of veteran experience on both teams. Both teams quickly dispatched their opponents in the conference finals. No idea who will win. Should be a close series and a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully the previous sentence doesn't trigger the pink hats.
