Why all.this dislike of Vegas?
Mostly comes down to 3 things:
1) People are upset / jealous that Vegas got to be a Cup contender (and winner) so quickly because of the way the expansion draft was set up...and shrewd work by the GM to get draft picks to take/pass certain guys
2) Lots of big-name players sort of "force" their way to Vegas (much like they do with teams like NYR), so other teams fans feel like they got cheated out of a superstar. Vegas seems to have no problem getting those guys and signing them to huge contracts. Prime example, CAR made a huge swing on Rants and then he pouted and moped until he got traded somewhere he wanted to be and immediately signed a huge contract. Vegas, New York, Florida, & Dallas seem to have a huge advantage in the "big name UFA" department.
3) LTIR Cap manipulation. Stone getting injured roughly the same time like 3 out of 4 years right before TDL and then being ready G1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs comes across as far too coincidental to not be manipulated, so they've had like $10M+ to play with at TDL to end up with a $120M roster in playoffs.

Bussi gets the start again. Freddie still not on the ice. I’m leaning towards mental health over Claude’s death over concussion.
I feel for Freddy. There's no good time to lose someone who you care about, but especially not when you're at the height of your profession, a profession where millions of people get to see every mistake you make. I think he's 13-3 in these playoffs and he loses his starting role. It's a tough world out there, but I hope mentally Freddy can feel like himself again soon. I found my mom dead about two months ago and I've learned how grief infects every part of your life, so if anyone understands, I do.
