The reality is that even if FSG “relieves” Idiot Sullivan of his coaching duties, there’s no way anything will change. They’re infatuated with him and his Boston-ness. He’ll fail upwards and become Assistant GM or Director of Player Personnel or some other BS made up position.

They’ll install wet blanket Vellucci or dumbass Quinn as HC and he’ll still puppet them from upstairs. He’ll still be in charge of player acquisitions as he is now so the roster make up won’t change either.

Even is he does eventually lose favor with FSG, I don’t think they’d stomach cutting him lose and still paying that huge contract.

So, in summation don’t get your hopes up and try to enjoy the big three’s twilight years for what they are.

Vellucci didn't do anything. If anything, Sullivan's shitty coaching f***ed him out of several head coaching jobs and management positions in head office. Vellucci being called a wet blanket is weird. He's the one bloke that's done nothing wrong and is f***ed just by association to Sullivan and comically, Sully still gets praised as a top 3 coach by a lot and yet no one wants to hire his assistants anymore.

Teams have fired coaches with high salaries before. It's nothing knew. That isn't the issue. The issue is Werner has a hard on for Sullivan and likely keeping him there.

Sullivan being excised from the organization entirely would be good for this team. Having him hovering around, giving his input and being able to influence shit like trades, FA signings, and draft picks would be garbage.
