Sorry I could not be online for tonight's game. But WHAT a game.

We're in Toronto for a wedding this weekend, so I will visit the Cup tomorrow just to make sure it's right where we left it. :handclap:

Enjoy this, folks.

Félicitations from a crusty old Habs fan here, memories of Jean Ratelle. East champs better you than the broon, good win, now please a Great Win vs the West #GoRangers

Also, I have been posting on this forum for like 15 years, now. Something like that. It is right around there.

I've shared so many memories with this board.

This one goes out to the old guard. True Blue, Fletch, Melrose, SBOB, Shadowtron, RangerBoy, Bluenote, jas, Edge, Draft Guru (Brandon), and everyone else I shared time with on here. To many guys who no longer post here, too. Larry Melnyk must be beside himself right now. dedalus doesn't believe that this moment even happened.

****, even Pasha is happy somewhere. And I've never seen him happy before. Ever.

What a season.

This for all of you youngin's who didn't experience 1994. Enjoy it, and savor it. We know with this franchise it doesn't come around too often.

Good thing I work from home tomorrow, because I might not sleep tonight. So pumped.

I want to post my thoughts from the last thread again.

-----

Not kidding. Legitimately tearing up right now.

I watched my first hockey game 21 or so years ago. I became a full time Rangers fan 20 years ago at the start of the season and all the way through the playoffs. I watched them win the Cup and I'll always remember that.

It took 20 years to get back there, but the New York Rangers are heading to the Stanley Cup finals.

I've sat through a couple of good years after 94. I sat through the dark ages wondering if the team would ever even make the playoffs again. I saw through the lockout thinking the team was going to be horrendous and having them make me smile for the first time in a while when they made the playoffs after being predicted to finish dead last.

I sat through Dan Blackburn's injury -- legitimately tearing up when it came out that he was going to have to retire. He was our next superstar goaltender. But then I sat through Lundqvist's first game knowing he was going to be a superstar.

And today we are back to the Cup finals.

I want them to win it all, but I am not going to kill things if they don't. I just want them to play hard and have a good series.

This team deserves it. This team has earned it.

Great post Bird. I was in MSG in '94 but that doesn't make this any less special. If anything, it's harder now than it ever was and any team making it this far deserves any accolades they get. Maybe we can stop with these "mediocre" debates and bring this thing home. I give them a decent shot against whoever comes out of the West. This team has stones and I've been saying that for quite a long time.

Enjoy it, folks.

great job guys!

The cover of the upcoming two bestsellers in Quebec:
1. "From Sommelier to Coach: How Whine Continues to Define Me" by M. Therrien
2. "A History of Flight" by T. Plekanec and PK Subban

Big thanks to the classy Habs fans congratulation us. Also all other fans of other NHL teams.

Last but not least, BIG CONGRATS TO ALL THE NYR FANS WHO HAD FAITH ALL THROUGH THIS SEASON! Cup finals, baby!

LGR!

I honestly did not think I'd see this team back in the Cup finals for a long, long time.

I'm blessed to have witnessed 1994. Blessed. I think about it all the time. So many young Rangers fans could not have that feeling. And I was a mere kid.

Great series guys. That's a very good team from top to bottom. Good luck next round.

NY vs LA would be one hell of a headline.

Congratulations guys.

I'll be rooting for you next round hardcore even though you just beat us. Nothing to hate about the Rangers.

You earned it and deserve it. Great series. :)

Other than Hank (automatic #1), I really feel that the #1 reason for them making it this far is the CONSISTENT rolling of 4 lines, and not the 3 lines with 4th liners playing 3 minutes like under Torts. THEY WERE FLYING!
Definitely. You saw the Habs defenders (especially Subban) getting very tired at the end. Perfectly understandable as he plays almost 30 minutes a game.. same thing Torts had our top guys doing.

i cannot believe this is happening! holy ****!

Props to Dom Moore for that game winner! What a year it's been for him! Been through so much, and he's 4 wins away from a cup!

Let us not forget the sort of contribution that the Boyle-Moore tandem has made in all facets of the game this playoff season.

I'm so proud of this team right now. Would have never imagined getting this far. I was 1 year old when the Rangers won 1994. Time for some memories I can remember.

Nice to see the Hanbs players survive the handshake without any of them falling down :sarcasm:
