We gon bounce back real tight on this one sire! The leafs finna pay back that last night's 48 shot lose. Jacki-O will play in goal and Win, big tyme baby  Our CURRENT THUGS will also pummel that thang hard on this one. Expect a huge nights from ritchie and bunting for example. Also a guaranteedo: Tavares and Marner scoring. With the nylanders. Congratulations y'all! Invest HARD.

Praying for Liljegren to switch in for Holl but I doubt it’ll happen
Holl is staying as a member of this defence for the next year at minimum. As @IPS said, they just protected him so he's not coming out. Liljegren's chance of getting in is all gone with the Mrazek injury assuming it's mid to long term.

I think they should rotate the bottom 3 for a bit. I think Sandin should sit and out Liljegren in for a few with Dermott. Then switch out to keep both of them fresh. Maybe once in a while go Sandin Liljegren on certain match ups.

How is this D rotation going to change Ritchie's turnovers or Engvall's gaffs?

Protection shmoshmection. If the team is trying to win a cup, management should be icing the best possible roster. There's a good chance that does not include Holl seeing how every other dman that was on the bubble looked better in camp and he's been this bad to start. Every game matters the same so he either needs to figure it out soon or get replaced.

Start on time
Clean up your game

Let's see if they have learned anything

Surprised no one mentioned Liljegren yet. ;-) He should play. Preferable for Holl, but we all know that won't happen.

If Holl get's the Thornton treatment this season, I will be ... ... ...

Tavares needs to make something happen, he's been pretty invisible the first 2 games. Also just start on time for once please.

First Saturday night home game of the season. Non back to back. Fresh off a loss. Theoretically they should show up on time for something like that...

Why show up on time when the Leafs have one of the most talented groups on paper. They’ll make up whatever gap they need in the third period. It’s a long season—can’t be givin ‘er all for all 60 mins, 82 games of the year :sarcasm:

I'm not panicking or anything but Tavares and Marner have to produce. It feels like it's simplifying it a lot and it's very early... but if you make that much money in a cap world, you can't have many nights where the puck doesn't go in. We need them to play up to their abilities and take over games a whole lot more.

I would be shocked if they take Holl out for Liljegren. If Liljegren plays one of Sandin or Dermott will be coming out.
