Sometimes there is a history. Players have tendencies, so Nurse might put his arms up and push back which is common. I didn't see anything in the game unless Nurse jabbed him with the butt end or something.

Regardless, it was a bad hit and Reaves will be on the pines for a game or two.

He isn't doing what he can. Like 75% with positional chances. Entries are slow and urgency is non existant

Scary for Nurse. Definitely the worst image was the first sign of blood dripping and then that Tavares "I might lose consciousness because I got to my knees."
Seems less scary seeing him after that immediate response. Hopefully he's all good soon.

It's a fast game and he was just trying to contribute in some way. He's had some borderline hits in Vegas, but he isn't anything liek Trouba for instance./

If Leafs end up winning due to killing off the 5 min maybe this bad hit ends up contributing, as much as I never want to see a guy hurt. Killing a 5 minute PP is huge.
