No teenage or pre-teen girls to bring Swift-mania into our house, but I'm with you.

If she makes people happy and doesn't hurt anyone, power to her. God knows our younger generation have missed out enough with Covid and just the overall shitty state of the world they are navigating through.

If she makes people happy, there's a lot worse things she could be doing. She at least has a modicum of talent, and her music isn't a bunch of f-bombs and disrespect to everyone but herself.

Side note, there is a video on YouTube of a Taylor Swift concert where she brings out Bryan Adam's and they perform Summer of 69 together, with Swift absolutely fan-girling over him the entire time.

Appreciated that she recognized what an amazing performer Adams is, and introducing him to her fans. Made me appreciate her more.

Thanks, just searched and watched it. Awesome. Now I have to watch YouTube music videos for the remainder of the morning :).

The GO train will be an absolute zoo after the game.

I actually had this discussion with my wife a few months ago. I told here I couldn't name a single song by Taylor Swift and she said I'd know them if I heard them. She played 4 or 5 of her biggest hits and...nope, haven't heard a single one of these songs. Again though, she seems to mean a lot to many people so I wish her the best.
My daughters are 21 and 18. We’ve had her catalogue in our various family playlists forever.
They went down last night to see if they could get cheap last minute tickets but nothing available. Thankfully they are both smart enough not to pay the crazy prices being asked.

First game I circle on the calendar every year but happily missing it this time. Avoiding downtown at all costs for a couple weeks.
Smart man, I haven't been downtown in like a year. Way too much nonsense happening around the area, almost impossible to get around.

The fact that we're basically 1st place in our division with our bottom 6 being complete no shows bodes pretty well for us going forward.
Omitting players with only 1 or 2 games played:

Reinhart has 12 goals. The bottom 13 Panthers combined have 13.

Nylander has 12 goals. The bottom 13 Leafs combined have 12.

Caufield has 12. The bottom 16 Canadiens combined have 11.

Rantanen has 12 goals. The bottom 16 Rockies combined have 10.

Draisaitl has 12 goals. The bottom 12 Oilers combined have 7.

(Those are all the other teams with a player with 12 goals. Stats prior to Thursday's games.)

One of my sons took three friends to Chicago last month for a weekend metal concert. He said the gas, hotel, and tickets for four cost less than one Swift ticket on a reseller site.

That is my biggest pet peeve with PVR'ing a game, that ALWAYS happens.
Give yourself the option of an extra 30 minutes. Rarely has a game in any sport gone beyond 30 minutes extra.

Just record the next show after, that's what I do. Plus, set the recording of the game to stop 30 minutes after the normal time.
beat me to it you bugger, lol.

How can Myers be sent down on a conditioning stint?

I thought he had to be waived to be sent down.
According to the NHL Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA):

13.8 Conditioning Loan. Unless a Player consents, he shall not be Loaned on a Conditioning Loan to a minor league club. Such Conditioning Loan shall not extend for more than fourteen (14) consecutive days. The Commissioner may take whatever steps he deems necessary to investigate the circumstances under which a Player is Loaned on a Conditioning Loan. If the Commissioner has reason to believe or determines that the Club has used the Conditioning Loan to evade Waivers, or otherwise Circumvent any provision of this Agreement, he may take such disciplinary action against the Club, as he deems appropriate. The Player shall continue, during the period of such Conditioning Loan, to receive the same Paragraph 1 NHL Salary, and be entitled to the same benefits, that he would have received had he continued to play with the Club.

13.9 Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception Conditioning Loan. A Player who is on the Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception as set forth in Article 50 may, with his consent, during the term of such Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception (but in no event during the first fourteen (14) calendar days and six (6) NHL Games), be Loaned on a Conditioning Loan (the "Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception Conditioning Loan") for a period not to exceed up to the longer of six (6) days and three (3) games, solely for the purpose of determining whether the Player is fit to play. If the Club determines that it needs more time to assess the Player's fitness to play, the Club may file a written request with the Commissioner's Office, with a copy to the NHLPA, in accordance with Exhibit 3 hereof, to extend the Loan for an additional two (2) games. The Commissioner, upon good cause, may approve the one-time extension. The Commissioner's approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. A Player on a Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception Conditioning Loan will continue to be listed on Injured Reserve and will not count against the Club's 23-man roster limit. The Club's Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Exception will continue until the Conditioning Loan ends, and his Paragraph 1 NHL Salary and Bonuses will continue to count against the Club's Upper Limit and the Players' Share during such time. The Commissioner may take whatever steps he deems necessary to investigate the circumstances under which a Player is placed on a Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Conditioning Loan. If he has reason to believe or determines that the Club has used the Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Conditioning Loan to evade Waivers or otherwise to Circumvent any provision of this Agreement, he may take other disciplinary action against the Club as he deems appropriate. A Bona Fide Long-Term Injury/Illness Conditioning Loan may be extended on one occasion. This procedure can only be used once during each period of time that the Player is on a Bona Fide Long-Term Injury Exception.

There are 6 sold out shows in Toronto including tonight. She takes a few days off starting tomorrow ((I'm guessing to go watch her boy Kelce tomorrow) and finishes up next week,

I have no idea about her music or whatever but if she makes people happy, good enough for me. I still don't understand the hate.
Does she have a show next Saturday as well? The Leafs won't play on next Saturday for some reasons.

No hate on my end, but I get what you mean. I have 12 and 10 year old sons so I don't have to deal with it at home but her popularity is over the top for whatever reason.

How much is really live?
Read some artists are annoyed they have to fake some songs. Forget the band (major band) and they swapped instruments to show their disgust.
Very few bands can pull off an authentic live performance these days. The best I ever witnessed live were Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots and Tea Party.
