Sarnia Sting 2024 25 Season Thread Part Iii

No Di Iorio or Edwards for canada today.

They've added 2 more Fs to the team which sucks. Probably pushes Di Iorio out of the lineup and maybe means Edwards is cut, or a definite scratch lol.

Gotta say, if Lammens becomes the player Sarnia hopes I think we are gonna absolutely love the pick/player.

Watching the OHL and NHL playoffs the guys sticking out the most are the dudes running around destroying opponents while also chipping in offensively.

Tom Wilson, Josh Anderson, Mason Marchment, Matt Tkachuk, Matty Knies, Brady Tkachuk, Marcus Foligno in the NHL. Landon Sim, Luke Ellinas, Sam Alfano in the OHL among others.

If he can become like that we will be very happy campers I think. Perfect guy to compliment what we have.

Not entirely sure if he gets a medal but if he does Edwards gets

Two massive building blocks for this organization & two kids who are gonna go pretty high next yr in the draft.

Something usually to watch after the OHL draft with Americans is where they go in the USHL draft.

They held there's tonight & the only Sting guys to go were Sarvir & Gullstrand, but they didn't go until picks in the 200s.

Would seem like a good sign about there intentions/preference as we took quite a few Americans.

Wish rookie camp wasn't so long after the draft lol. Usually it's a lot sooner than end of May. Intrigued to see who's all there and how they look!

Just like that LDN bangs off b2b ohl championships.. 32-3 in the playoffs the last 2 years.....To put that into perspective Buzz have 32 playoff wins since 2002.... thats correct LDN the last 2 years has the same amount of playoff wins as Sarnia does the last 25 years. What a joke lol

lol I was surprised too... I thought LDN's last 2 years would be more than the entire history of the buzz..... I am honestly thinking Buzz may never win one. The stars would need to align.

They aligned in 23.

Saginaw was an absolute layup round 2 because the 8 seed beat the 1 seed.

If you flipped the rosters (LDN team had ours, we had LDNs) most ppl would've had LDN in 6 maybe even 5.

Sarnia was LOADED. Barkey Cowan O'Rielly Sim Dickinson Bonk were U17s. They lost their superstar OA goalie in game 2 & a rookie had to play 3/4/5/6...

That was their shot. That was their opportunity to at least make the finals.

To the surprise of no one they soiled themselves in London scoring 1G in each road game then completely no showed game 6 at home.

I've never believed more in a Sting team. Even with it being London. No way I'm ever getting that confident again or tricking myself into believing it's their year again.

It's simply happened to many times. I have confidence they'll be pretty good upcoming (if NCAA doesn't ruin everything, which it probably will), but not gonna believe they can do the damn thing. Gotta show us. Been 30+ years of disappointment. They are the Leafs of the OHL. They find ways to lose & never find ways to win

If the hunters had our roster in 2023 London would have swept us and it wouldn’t have been close. Letang and staff should have been embarrassed, yet he’s still here…..
