lol it was me who said that not updates. I stand by it. I see this team being lead by the young guys... The vets are just along for the ride. Filak and Doucette just don't do it for me. Wainwright is hit or miss... They're all older guys who see a lot of ice time and don't do a ton with it... Whereas Karimov doesn't see a lot of ice but when he does he usually makes an impact. I'd love more Karimov and less Doucette. Filak is alright but you expect more from a 2004 guy

Wainwright has 4 GWG that is needed in Playoffs when has his jump and great player if gets line flow and the puck. those 3 guys have playoff experience. FIlak plays wherever needed and has always been a Letang favourite, remember he played with Voit in Burke lol I agree Filak should be 3rd line but he burns minutes. Doucette again is another Letang favorite, Doucette again has playoff experience and that's needed as you know what type of game playoffs are, tight, minimal ice open and super physical. Some might not like that game.

Being a Letang favourite should be a huge red flag right there lol. Im not saying bench those guys but lets see some of the young guys playing together with each other. Especially Karimov which I think we all agree on. I had huge issues with Letags line structure when we were good. It's like he thinks each line needs needs to check all the boxes... talent, old guy, defensive grinder. Talent likes to play with talent. I'd bet my life Brown would rather be playing with Edwards and Manza or Di Lorio than Doucette and Filak... like theres no doubt in my mind it would be better for Brown and the team.

lol I say ALOT of stuff. I can see why you'd confuse me.

Im a big fan of Filak & Wainwright. I've been disappointed in the lack of goals lately. But tonight they were really brought it. Filak as always took a big beating, but kept pushing. Nice assist on Browns goal. Wainwright seemed to be going at Spellacy (who's a big boy) all night. Seemed to get him off his game which is big. His zone entry on the tying goal was huge.

Doucette continues to be very frustrating. He hasn't been the same since his suspension. Don't really get it. At some point he needs to get going if we are gonna finish 6th.

Great night for the U17s vs a big, mean, elite team.

Di Iorio had 3 assists. He was buzzing all game. His passing has really taken a step forward as the year has gone on. he's getting real good at the seem pass on the PP.

Edwards was awesome. He ignited the comeback & for a rookie to do that says a lot. He's gonna push for 25+ goals which is insane.

Brown starts it off sticking up for an OA, nabs a PPG & gets 2A including on the winner. That Brown will be a stud in this league. Need to see it more often.

Karimov finally gets some ice time late & he bangs in the rebound. Kid is fearless. He is a little like Filak in he's willing to take a beating to get his chances. He made a few nice/calm plays with the puck to which to me showed his progression in this league.

Manza seemed to play harder tonight than he has been. Won more battles. Threw some hits. Gets an assist on hall's goal. Quietly has 4G/4A in 13 games. Not too shabby.

Not 17, but Maillet was amazing & is maybe reason #1 they got two points. When he plays his best he sure can keep them in the game. Shown it a few times.

I'm not on the Edwards fan train just yet. Just a shooter (very impressive) needs direction without puck and I fear Letang isn't going to help with that. Good for him scoring 20 Gs but I want to see alot more away from puck. And playing with his teammates.
DI IORIO is going to be pratrice Bergeron type player not selfish and we will be happy in 2 years if gets alot more direction. Without it will be same as now just bigger. MANZA is being under used big time, kid is a shooter like to see him im bigger role. Karimov with Brown and Edward's on line 2 give manza 20 mins see what kid really can do. Fear his 4th line play will turn to a see later, come next year if he realizes who his coach is and can get more in NCAA.
I can bet money Wainwright gone next year very under appreciated just has never been given constant support for him to get to next level. Teams put players together to compliment each other think I counted 13 different linemates for him in last 20 games yet is leading team in points and has set career highs, Filak has had same lines yet Wainwright and doucette are bouncing all over lineup i feel it's really affecting their production and consistency this year.
Karimov needs more ice we all agree on that atleast.
Problem is a win like that gives Letang a pass for his last 7 games but not with me I see through all his snoke and mirrors. Just keeps hurting this teams future the longer he stays, losing faith DS Sees the bigger picture at this point.

Not once have I said the sting should move on from Wainwright but the stats speak for themselves... Wainwright is in year 4, playing top minutes and his career high is 14 goals and 0.73 ppg. Most of our rookies and u-17 guys are there right now despite playing less. Again, I never said the buzz should move him or let him go or anything... I do like him... just not as a first line go to kinda guy.
